About TokyoTreat

TokyoTreat is a fun and exclusive Japanese snack subscription boxfilled with limited-edition KitKats, specialty-flavored Japanese chips, seasonal treats, and occasional Japanese sodas that are only available in Japan for a limited time.

Tokyotreat box

Each month you can subscribe to receive a box filled with Japanese treats. The Blossom Cherry box we received consisted of such a wide selection of treats most of which we have tried now.

Blossom-Viewing Chocolate Bites

These a like little chocolate M&M’s and certainly satisfied a chocolate craving

Crispy Fried Rice Crackers

As in the name these are crispyfriend crackers that are coated in a sweet soy sauce. We were not sure if we would like these but if you have a taste for something savoury these will be a perfect snack

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen

We love Ramen but as C does not like pork I was the one who tried this. I usually go for chicken so was itnrigued to try a different flavour. It did not disappoint and was very tasty and fresh in taste

Baked Potato Poicky Sticks

I was not sure what these would be like, as just imagined hard jacket potatoes. These are thin sticks that if honest you would not think were potato based. These were surprisingly moreish with a hint of bacon flavouring

Onion Puffs

These do not need an explanation, think the cheese puffs you can buy. Except these are flavoured like onion soup. C did not like them I was not too sure. They were not horrible but would not look for them again

Pistachio & Strawberry Pai no Mi

These are a sweet pistachio and strawberry filling in between crispy flaky pastry. C tried these and when I went and gave the thumbs up. These were my type of thing and would definitely buy again

Senbei Spring Mix

These are Japanese rice cracks with seven different flavours.

  • Sakura Salt
  • Plain
  • Sakura Fried Shrimp
  • Matcha Cream
  • Honey & Soy Sauch
  • Black

We have not yet tried these so watch this space

Sour Plum Salt Crackers

Think prawn crackers and these are a very pretty pale pinkish colour that are the same texture as prawn crackers. Sadly these were a miss from us as neither of us liked them

Sakura Donut

A donut type snack that is soaked in sakura syrup. This is definitely a huge hit and perfect for those times when you need a sweet treat

Sakura Petal Marshmallows

These are soft and sweet marshmallows that I can confirm are amaing on a hot chocolate. These did not last long sadly

Peach Mochi

A chewy peach mochi wrapped in edible paper and made with real peach juice. I made C try these first as we were intrigued by the edible paper but it litreally melts away leaving a sweet peach flavoured sweet. These were a huge hit

Sakura Blossom Cake

A soft and sweet cake that has a creamy centre which is filled with sakura chocolate. Again I never had a look in with this. C tried it and loved it

Strawberry Shortcake KitKats

There is no need to introduce KitKats, these are perfect snack sized individually wrapped. They are very sweet so you can easily save them to enjoy over time. We both liked these

Our Thoughts

As you can see above the Tokyo Treat Box is full of different snacks and treats to suit any craving you may have. You can subscribe to receive the monthly treat boxes here.

We enjoyed the treats, and I have mentioned C has always had a huge fascination for anything Japanese. I would definitely purchase again as a treat.
