Here we are at Wednesday again, the weather is definitely getting more wintery. With some areas having snow and others heavy frost. Time for my weekly round up post Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 20/11/2024.

Health
We finally have a date for C to have her 24 hour heart monitor which is next Wednesday. Not much longer to wait. My dad is at cardiology on Thursday so going to see if we can get the appointment for the monitor to be removed around the same time.
We have the second bout of the virus thing again, C picked it up from a friend who had it. So is home yesterday and today. I was put on antibiotics last week for my chest infection, I still have it but nowhere near as bad so will see how it pans out whether I need to see the GP again. It really does like to linger.
Budgies
We still just have Pinky, this photo was the other day. Yesterday, C changed over the nesting box to a new one to clean the other one out. We now only have 4 eggs left so another one must have got damaged. C looked at the eggs and she thinks 2 are just yolk where as the other 2 may have babies in them.
C held Pinky, I am sharing to Instagram which you can view here. There are daily updates and you can see how much Pinky is growing each day. Poor Pippy looks so fed up when trying to keep Pinky warm you see her wing going up and down then a little head pop out. C held Pinky but I was too scared too until it gets a bit bigger but did rest its head on my finger.

We all know Christmas is an expensive time of year and we are all looking at ways to cut down spending and shopping for a bargain. Someone recently told me they look at selling items. Did you know you can cash in by selling old jewellery that are all fine but you do not wear any more or have replaced them.
What I Am Loving
The Green Company
More and more of us are doing all we can to reduce waste and packaging. Which is why I am loving The Green Company. I was recently sent a range of their products to try.
Lets start with their eco friendly laundry detergent and fabric conditioner. I was sent the Linen Fresh Washing Sheets and Conditioning Sheets. I just added half a sheet of each to my wash.
They cleaned and freshened my washing well and smelt great. There was no residue left over which you sometimes get with other laundry detergents.
Eco Tabs
The eco friendly cleaning products come in 4 different cleaning products
- Bathroom
- Glass Cleaner
- Kitchen Degreaser
- Multipurpose
As in the name you get a little tablet that you pop in your re-usable spray bottle. Fill with warm water and wait 5 minutes for it to dissolve.
I have been using these around my house and they do what they say. I am always wary of glass cleaner as I am the worlds worst at cleaning glass. But it cleaned well with no smears or streaks.
I left my oven hob for a day and used the degreaser and it cleaned it with ease. So am sold on these products.
I love that they are eco-friendly with hardly any packaging and no more empty plastic bottles to put in the recycling bin. I do love my cleaning products and will try new products that come out if not happy with what I am using. These did live up to the name and did what they say.

We have been snowed in it’s been that bad here , minus 6 and freezing!!! Oh the budgies!! So cute
We have not had any snow luckily. I was not saying the dad of Pinky was sweet about half an hour ago.I was just putting some food in as C on work experience and he escaped.
I have only heard of Smol, not The Green Company, so I will have to take a look. I really hope C gets some answers on their health!
I do love their products currently using them around the house and they are doing what it says. Love also that there are no plastic waste bottles
We had our first real sharp frost yesterday where I had to scrape the window before work , winter is definitely here
It has been the same here the past few days, luckily we left later today and it had melted thankfully
It sounds like a tough times with both health concerns, but it’s great that the heart monitor is scheduled soon. I hope C starts feeling better and that your chest infection clears up quickly. Take care of yourselves!!
It has been harder with C, and obviously causing us more worry. Bless her she is reading up on POTS and trying things others have suggested. Next Wednesday can not come quickly enough. Hopefully my chest infection will clear soon

It just seems to be never ending, but everyone seems to be suffering with it as well. I am not sure we will get anymore babies. But Pinky is a huge little character already

How brave and bonny little Pinky is. I love it when babies of any sort are ready to explore the world around them even if they are a bit wobbly.
I can not wait for Wednesday to come, so glad it is only a few days away now, Little Pinky is such a huge character, Pippy was out of the box for a bit yesterday in the cage still and I thought Pinky was going to follow her out
We’re having winter weather starting today until Saturday and there might be some flurries tonight. Brrr! I will have to check The Green Company. Their products sound great!
We have had sleet but no snow luckily, I love the green company and the little tabs to make the cleaning product are great and take no room as well which is another great plus
We seem to have had sold/flu lurgies in our house too, my daughter is off today and my husband too. Hope you all start to feel better. I saw the baby budgie on Instagram, so cute and pink!
It is never ending, C was off Tuesday and yesterday, she went in today, but not sure if she will stay as very lightheaded and dizzy with it as well. Hope you all get over it soon. Little Pinky is so cute and I am loving how he/she is changing each day. I just took a quick video to send to C and white feathers are coming through now. So shouldn’t be too long before we see what colour the main feathers will be

I was just looking in at Pinky the feathers are starting to come through now, although C told me this morning they will be white for the under feathers. Pinky has no fear though and walked onto my hand straight onto the other one yesterday. I can not wait for C to have her monitor and move forward with soting the issue out

been 20 years since I kept them too ( had to give away due to allergies)
waste too much time with the birds, just been in checking on Pinky now. Hopefully it will not be too long before we get the redults and can start to move forward

Next Wednesday can not come quickly enough for us, but it is a step forward. Honestly, little Pinky is causing me nightmares that baby has no fear

It does seem like it has taken ages and can not wait for next Wednesday for the monitor. She has really been struggling and as a Mum it is really worrying me
