What have your children asked for this Christmas?
As a child I really enjoyed play sets such as kitchens and shops.
I loved to get building sets such as Lego and others.
It was my first ever big girl Raleigh bike I got in my favourite colour purple! My uncle bought it for me and I was soooo excited! I was about 6 at the time

I remember getting a baby doll from Father Christmas. It came with a little suitcase full of clothes knitted by my Nanna.
A dolls house. My grandad had built it himself and it was absolutely beautiful.
My bike. I spent hours and hours riding my bike when I was a child.

When I was very young my Mum made me a soft toy dog out of an old curtain. I loved that dog and had him for many years, into my adulthood, until there was a nasty incident with a new puppy.

I always loved to get a lego set
I did not get any presents as a child very often but one year the vicar gave me a card with a few bits of dolls house furniture on it and I played with it non stop.
It sounds like a perfect present. I was always lucky as was my kids and my grandchildren. Which is why at Christmas I do donate a lot of toys and games to help children who may not get a present

I was given a wheelbarrow. It’s very battered now but I still have it.
When I was little I spotted a toy piano in the village shop. I fell in love with it and every time mum took us in there I went and looked at the piano. One day it was gone, I was heartbroken. Until, on Christmas morning, I opened my presents and there was the piano! I still have it today, some 55 years later and I still love it.
We had an ice hockey game which my brother and I spent hours playing.
