Here we are in week 80 of Life After Lockdown. From the beginning of lockdown I have been taking part in a linky where we answer questions of how the past week has been. Originally in lockdown, and now after lockdown.
How has your week been? Read on to see how my week has been.
For those wanting to take part the questions are
1) How are you feeling/coping?
Still pretty much the same here, I had a night out on Saturday with friends, and have been in a lot more pain since, not too long until my next appointment. C should be having her next appointment for her migraine injections today, but had a call yesterday cancelling as her Dr was ill and then going on maternity leave, and the locum is not starting until mid November. As it is specialised we have to now sit and wait for a new appointment to come through.
Also, still no news on C’s education, it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since her interview and I was told I could chase in two weeks. So if nothing comes through today I will be emailing tomorrow to see if we can find anything out.
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
We had a night out with friends on Saturday, which was lovely, it was an 80’s night and I purchased Rimmels Heather Shimmer lipstick, which we all wore in the 80’s. Plus as I no longer have the shaggy perm, I applied tons of mousse and managed to scrunch my hair to an almost shaggy looking perm. A lot of people complemented me and said how great it looked, probably as they are used to me with straightened hair.
Also planning my youngest granddaughters 1st birthday. Her Mum wants to do a cake smash and asked if Grandad will do a photoshoot (my husband is a photographer). So they are coming here for the day.
3) What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
Life can change so quickly, and we went from living with no restrictions to becoming aware of those around us and our surroundings. Use hand sanitiser, wear masks be aware of your own health as well.
4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?
Always carry a mask and hand sanitiser, use the hand sanitiser more than you would usually think too. Also give others space and just be respectful.
5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
You will probably have noticed I was quite quiet last week, I am really struggling physically and emotionally at the moment. I have been reading posts and read some great posts but you know me my mind has gone blank
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
My family and friends, and one of my dogs Max he is 12 years old, he should be enjoying a quieter pace of life, you can not see in this picture but he was filthy. He just gives you his smile which melts your heart. Recently he has decided to be the Andrex puppy, he keeps going in the bathroom and playing with the toilet roll. I found him laying on the floor eating it like spaghetti the other day. He has always been a nightmare for tissues.
7) What has made you smile this week?
Our middle child rang me the other day, and we chatted for hours and a chat with him just cheers anyone up
8) Anything else you would like to mention?
Panic buying, the amount of people who are obviously panic buying is getting stupid. So many people are complaining of empty shelves again now. I do my food shop online, and some of the things they are out of stock on the day really does surprise me. If we all panicked less and carried on as normal there would be no need to have shelves empty.
Thank you to
