It is hard to believe that we had the one year anniversary of losing my husband on Monday. The past year has been a blur of so many emotions. I have shared most weeks about my grief and had so many lovely messages from those of you who are suffering as well. Some further along in their grief journey and some only just beginning. Grief has so many emotions that spring from nowhere. In this post, I am sharing my personal journey this past year. Like my Babyloss Awareness post, I am writing this with raw emotions straight from the…

Christmas is just days away. All the gifts have been purchased and received or due for delivery. The wrapping is completed or planned. The cupboards are full of Christmas food. I am taking today to say Happy Christmas 2025. This is probably one of my hardest Christmas’s I have ever faced. I have got through Christmas with losing Grandparents close to Christmas one on the 14th December and one on the 19th December. This year is so much different. Keeping Busy This week, we are keeping busy. Today C and I are heading out to a light trail. I booked…

I have so many, mine and my husbands always matched it was just my thing. When I saw the prompt for today, I thought how do I choose my favourite mug. I have so many and then I thought back to a status I put up a few weeks ago, on a lazy Sunday morning. Dear Favourite Mug I do apologise for not showing you in the best light.…

I can not quite believe that my little blog StressedMum is 10 years old today. It really does not seem possible. This photo was the reason I started StressedMum. This is C 10 years ago just about to finish Primary School. As her new chapter was starting, my new role was also starting. The school runs would be done, C would not need me so much. She had her whole life ahead of her now. I decided to start a blog. I have always loved reading them and thought I could use it as a sort of mum diary. How…

Day 21 of the Blogtober 2023 challenge is sharing on things I am thankful for. This is a lot harder to put into a post than you would first think. Not because I am not grateful for things, but the more you think the longer the list goes. I am going to keep this light hearted and not get too deep. Coffee This is more for those around me really. I am always thankful for my first coffee in the morning. It helps me wake up and start to process the day ahead. It also makes me more human and…

Today is the first day of Blogtober 2024. The topic for today is favourite autumn traditions. I do not really have many traditions, or so I thought until I started thinking about this post. So see below my favourite Autumn traditions. Nature Walks I am cheating a bit here, as can not really call it a tradition as walk the dog every day.
