Happy Christmas 2025

Christmas is just days away. All the gifts have been purchased and received or due for delivery. The wrapping is completed or planned. The cupboards are full of Christmas food. I am taking today to say Happy Christmas 2025.

Christmas

This is probably one of my hardest Christmas’s I have ever faced. I have got through Christmas with losing Grandparents close to Christmas one on the 14th December and one on the 19th December. This year is so much different.

Keeping Busy

This week, we are keeping busy. Today C and I are heading out to a light trail. I booked it way back in the Summer. C went to one at Kew last year and loved it. I thought it would be a nice way to get us into the festive spirit. We are both looking forward to it.

Tomorrow, we are heading out to see my granddaughters and as Father Christmas has too much to bring he has let me bring some presents early to them. As you all know they are my world and my happy place and we are all looking forward to seeing them. The youngest told her mum the other day she has not seen me in ages. It was only a few weeks ago bless her.

Then on Wednesday, we are now up and out early and I noticed something on Snowy’s wing last night (one of C’s other bougies). So she has got her an appointment at the vets. I have had to buy a new travel cage for them as we need to take one of the other budgies with us as Snowy will freak out with out him.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

Luckily the vets is early, which means our Christmas Eve traditions will still stand without interruptions. I always make homemade sausage rolls which we have hot out of the oven for lunch. This year we are also making something with halloumi which C saw on TikTok the other day.

We usually have Christmas music playing, which although I have been playing all month is not getting me into my usual Christmas spirit.

The rest of the day will be relaxing.

Happy Christmas

Merry Christmas 2025

I want to take this opportunity while there is still a bit of calm. To wish you all a very Merry Christmas. This year has been tough, but you have all helped me through by just letting me write down my feelings. I also know me sharing my grief has helped others who have found me and are going through the same.

At this moment I am just numb with it all, we will have a good Christmas. I have just spoken to my Daughter in law who has told me the girls are so excited to see us tomorrow. I am excited to see them as well.

All I need now is for tons of positive vibes being sent as this year for the first year I am cooking Christmas dinner. This was my husbands job with me helping him. So wish me luck please.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and make lots of happy memories.
