Ramblings Of A StressedMum -29/06/2023

Another week has flown by, which means it is time for my weekly Ramblings Of A StressedMum -29/06/2023 post. It has been another roller-coaster week. Hope you have all had a great week.

Health

health

I am a few weeks into my journey of having diabetes. I have stopped taking any medication now as it was not agreeing with me. Although, I do check and record my sugar levels twice a day. My husband showed me how to record them on my phone which is great. So far my levels are not too bad, so am hoping I can continue without being on medication. I will find out next week when I see my GP.

College Is Out

C should be finishing college for the year this coming Friday. As all her exams have finished she only had her animal care lessons to go in for. Last Thursday she was in for one lesson and came out early as she had been signed off. So proud of her as she got signed off with distinctions. A course trip to Chessington on Friday and she is done for 10 weeks.

Friday I dropped her at college, and she was coming home from Chessington as we live very close. She messaged me saying she couldn’t cross the road. On goes my shoes and I start to walk down the road asking her which side of the road she was on. For those who do not know Chessington World of Adventures there is a back way out. Which is down a side road and quite dangerous. There is no path either, so there I am walking up there jumping onto the grass verge on the side dodging traffic. I finally found her and marched her the right way out.

She needed this break she has been struggling with her illness even more lately. We are now waiting on her GCSE results.

The Chirpster Plus One

the chirpster

This cute looking budgie, wastes so much of my time. She is such a Cutie and so funny. Her favourite game at the moment is wrestling with one of her toys. She gets hot so can only come out of her cage for short periods and then back in with the fan on which she loves.

I let her out of her cage about an hour ago and she hopped on my hand. Looked cute and chatted away and then chowed down on my hand, then looked cute again. She is starting to say a few words now as well, which of course we can not get on video.

New Addition

We should be getting this little Cutie next week. We have a new flight cage so we can hopefully have them both in the same cage once introduced. Not sure if boy or girl yet, but is one of chips siblings. Chirpster is called Piplup (I think that is how it is spelt) from Pokemons. C calls her Pippy for short, I call her chirpy.

We can not find a name for this one, which is pale blue and grey. If you can come up with some suggestions, please share.

Muse

We travelled to Milton Keynes on Sunday too see Muse in concert. Wow, it was amazing, it was a show with so many surprises. If you can get to see them you will not be disappointed. I have a couple of pics on my Instagram and so many videos to share still.

  9. I love the name Piplup. I’m a big fan of Pokemon so was delighted to hear the little menacing Chirpster is called Piplup. Suits her a lot. What about Togepi for her sibling? I know she’s not a bird yet but she. evolves into a flying Pokemon. There is also Swablu but the name isn’t as cute I think. I’m sure whatever name you pick it’s going to be cute and well thought out.
