Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 30/09/2026

Here we are at Wednesday again, as we sail through another week, it means it is time for my weekly Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 30/09/2026.

My Week

This Week

Health

I have spent this week trying to chase hospital appointments for my dad. He has been discharged from the cancer hospital (although they have kept him on if no appointment came through from the surgical team). Apparently they have not received notification, even though the letter was sent 6 weeks ago.

On Sunday, C messaged me saying she was not well and had a virus. She felt so ill I ended up driving to pick her up and then had her at the drs the next morning. My darling daughter has now passed this onto me and I have not felt this ill in a long time

Grief

Sundays are always hard for me, and this Sunday also happened to be our wedding anniversary. We would have been married 24 years. I am in a weird place with my grief at the moment I know he has gone but still hope it is all a bad dream

A Week In The Life Of Biscuit

Biscuit - 15 weeks
  • Wednesday – After a morning of playing and having lots of my new toys taken off of me as apparently they are not toys. I took my human for a nice walk before coming home and catching up on some sleep
  • Thursday – I woke my human up early today 3.15am as I was sick, she was very nice and gave me cuddles and I went off to sleep. You would think this would get me a bit of letting off – but no. I had them looking all over the house and even outside as they lost me. My human found me under the sofa and dragged me out – very rude. Do not worry I am ok, I have forgiven her so she could feed me.
  • Friday – I was abandoned and left alone to fend for myself. Then they came home with lots of bags that smelt nice. I was so excited to see everyone when they came home. I had a nice walk in the afternoon as my human needs to go out everyday
  • Saturday – It was a nice relaxed day, I played and slept and played some more. Then I took my human out for a walk. It was a pretty relaxing day for me
  • Sunday – My human seemed sad when we woke up, she did smile when i climbed up and gave her kisses. Then she went and left me this time with Grandad while they went shopping. Then went out again, at least my Grandad was here to look after me. When they came home they had my other human who has been gone for years and I was so excited to see her. She is poorly like I was the other week so I gave her my best cuddles
  • Monday – No one slept much last night – apart from me. They were waiting for a call and then my human was up and down all night. She seems very tired today but I took her for another walk as fresh air will do her good.
  • Tuesday – My human Mum is not feeling too well today and I have tried to be a good boy. Grandma came for a walk with us and I was chilled in my seat and did not jump out (told you I was trying to be good). We parked and got out of the car, no idea where we were but it was not where we usually go I think we must have got lost. I tried to dig in my paws but I kept being made to walk. Eventually I gave up as they kept walking, so thought I had better keep up as they may need me. I met some friends another puppy and someone with 3 big dogs before we found the car again.
