Ramblings Of A StressedMum -05/07/2023

Another week has flown by, although we have had a much needed quiet week. Which means it is time for my weekly Ramblings Of A StressedMum -05/07/2023 post. It has been another roller-coaster week. Hope you have all had a great week.

I had my GP appointment yesterday for my diabetes. You rarely see this GP but he is the one who deals with diabetes. He has agreed I can stay off medication and have blood tests at the end of August and we will discuss from there. I did admit to having sugar in my two coffees a day, and was told off. So I came back with I am being good with everything else.

C has been wiped out, now college has finished. She can finally let go and has been resting a lot and is very tired. She has 10 weeks to rest up now.

New Addition

Gizmo and Pippy

Yesterday, we picked up our new baby, who C has called Gizmo. You may have seen my Instagram post introducing him. He is the baby brother of Pippy and they are getting on ok. Apart from when Pips gets a bit over excited. Gizmo is just 6 weeks, and will let us stroke him and will hop onto our hands. He is a mischief though as he gets in his food bowl and kicks it all out. So have put bowl on the floor of the cage which seems to work. I am spending far too much time with them.

They are in separate cages at the moment, with Gizmo being in the larger flight cage. Which I put together with C on Monday. Once Gizmo is a bit older, we will put them in the same cage.

Giveaways

As mentioned above we have had a very quiet but much needed week of doing nothing. I have been doing a lot of work on the back end of my blog.

  11. Oh I admire a week of doing not much. But with two young ones, even a weekend is more a rest for them rather than for the parents. I’m usually exhausted on a Monday after being with my two little active ones.

Piplup and Gizmo are just too cute. I love their personalities and their little quirks. I would give them all my time if they were in my house.

  12. The birds are so cute! Looks like C need some rest. I’ve been resting after doing so much stuff lately.
