Here we are at Tuesday again and time for my weekly linky post Life After Lockdown, where each week I answer a set of question and share how the past week has been. We are now in week 72 since life changed for us all. So here is my week has been.
For those wanting to take part the questions are
1) How are you feeling/coping?
I am still suffering and in pain, but have my scan on Friday which I am hoping will show what is going on. It is really wearing me down now.
I am also worrying about C, as today she has her injections for her migraine. I have researched them and also spoken to a friend who has had them. I am really hoping they will help her and ease her 24/7 migraines.
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
Last Tuesday C, went to a workshop with a group of about 10 others, she was very nervous and had tears on the way there. But she managed it and stayed and also did her application for the new course she is going to go on.
Friday, I had a day out with C and my Mum as we were babysitting my granddaughters. I only realised after saying to my granddaughter about going to Build a Bear that they had all closed. So we ended up going to a toy shop, for a new toy. This would have been fine, if my Mum had not treated the eldest to one of those rides, which was Ben and Hollies, and she wanted a Ben and Hollie toy. Not all shops sell them, and when we did, Nanny caved Tina got her one of the more expensive toys.
3) What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
Be respectful to others, and always carry a mask and hand sanitiser with you
4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?
Be aware of your surroundings and those around you, carry a mask even if you do not wear one all the time, and make hand sanitiser your new best friend.
5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
My recent post sharing my letter to my MP, about how hard it is to see a GP. This is something I feel strongly about, especially since hearing that many are told to go to A&E if they feel that bad. This is not an option and we should not be tying up A&E for general non urgent problems.
We have also booked a family holiday to Italy next September, we are going with friends and it is a small complex where they know the owners so will be nice and quiet for C. This is our first family holiday since before she became ill.
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
Pain medication and my grandchildren, I had a great day with them
7) What has made you smile this week?
Sunday evening C told me she had finished another picture. Her talent amazes me although I struggle to draw anything basic.
Also spending time with my grandchildren on Friday and seeing the bond with C and the elder one grow even stronger
8) Anything else you would like to mention?
Nothing at the moment
Thank you to
