Day 10 of Blogtober 2024 the topic is Celebrate the beauty in decay, both natural and metaphorical, as things wind down in autumn. Today I am looking at Embracing Autumn.

The changing in seasons as we move through the year is something we all know. Some embrace the changing seasons, while others mourn the season that has just gone.
As we are now truly embracing Autumn. Gone are the long hot days of Summer, where we enjoyed BBQ’s with friends and families. Trips out and much more. Autumn seems to have hit with a bang this year.
What Do I Love About Autumn
Of course the first thing you can not ignore is nature. The leaves changing colour and the beautiful colours that only nature can give us.
My boots are now firmly my footwear of choice and my beloved boots are back out. Gone away are my sandals and flip flops until next year.
My warm jumpers, cardigans and jumper dresses have taken place of t shirts and summer skirts and dresses
Warm coats and jackets are needed for when we head out
Not to mention those comforting hot chocolates to give us a hug in a mug. These are even more satisfying when at home and the wind and rain is outside battering against the windows.
Our diet also changes, no longer craving light meals. We start to look at those comfort foods such as
Quick and Easy Liver & Bacon Casserole
Family Favourite Shepherds Pie
Easy Slow Cooked Roast Beef
I also seem to get my baking mojo back and always look for new tasty recipes to try.
What are you embracing now we have fully welcomed Autumn?

These are the things that get me through Autumn too. I love the clothes and comfort food xxx
So do I add my boots to that and I am happy
I do love autumn as long as I can keep warm – love my carbs too
Being warm makes all the difference and dry after the weather today
I’m going to have to try harder to embrace autumn. The loss of the warmth and beauty of summer is always a bit of a downer for me. However, I do love to see the magnificent leaf colours of deciduous trees. My favourite is the Liquidambar. Luckily, you don’t need a football pitch-sized garden to accommodate one as they now have columnar forms. Perfect for tiny gardens.
This is the reason I always embrace Spring. Natures beauty is the one thing that helps embrace Autumn when it arrives
I am back in my lovely warm slipper boots again! The weather yesterday had that wimter chill!
I am loving my slippers, I was shocked to go out this morning to find my car frosted up
hot chocolate and comfort foods are my favourite things when the weather turns cooler.
They do seem to make the cooler weather a little easier to handle
