One thing we drink a lot of in our house is water, like in many homes across the country we have moved away from plastic water bottles to reusable bottles. One thing I am always aware of is the quality of my water. I live in a hard water area but it is also the impurities that you get from water from your tap that worries me. As we all drink the water, I always filter it, and then filter again in the water in my fridge where we get our fresh cold water from. But how clean is the water you are drinking?
We all know that water straight from our taps has some impurities in it, which is why many of us use a filter system to remove those impurities. I was recently sent a Zero Water Jug to review, it has a 5 stage filtration system.
How does the Zero Water Jug work?
The ZeroWater filter jug is the first in its class to benefit from a sealed lid and reservoir which allows filtered water to be poured while water that has not yet been filtered remains in the reservoir. Another great asset is that on the side it has a one handed push button so you can pour water straight from there and not have to pour like we are used to from jugs.
The ZeroWater has a patented 5 stage Ion Exchange Filtration system, which removes virtually all dissolved solids from your water. Which may include
- Plus reducing 99% of all Fluoride ad other inorganic such as Nitrates from your water
You can see the full list here.
How did I get on with the ZeroWater
The jug comes with a chart on how to use your ZeroWater Filter Jug and how to check your water
Firstly, I checked my water straight from my tap
On checking the water quality from my tap it was in the Extremely High Category, so next I tested the water from my filter jug which we have been drinking from, and it showed a reading of high, which is quite scary.
Next I did a reading from the jug after I had used the ZeroWater, it showed a reading of 131 which is a typical rating. I am not sure if I have done something wrong and will report back if I do get the zero rating.
As I mentioned earlier we drink a lot of water, and seeing these readings scared me. Even after filtering which I do religiously. I am going to continue using the ZeroWater and will see if the reading does change and will update this post to show the result.
You may have seen this on TV when Philip Schofield reviewed it
Have you tried the ZeroWater?
