National Uplift Someone Day

Today is day 30 of Blogtober 2026 and I have gone off topic again as today is National Uplift Someone Day.

National Uplift Someone Day is a lovely opportunity to spread kindness, boost morale and remind people that they matter. What a lovely day to celebrate and just be nice and lift someone mood.

National Uplift Someone Day

There are so many ways you can do this, whether just individuals or and workplace full of people. Below I am sharing a few ideas how you can embrace National Uplift Someone Day.

The Kindness Wall

Whether you set up a kindness wall at home, or if you work in an office or area with a few people. Pop up little notes of compliments or words of encouragement. Just little things that would make you smile

Pass on a Compliment

Nothing puts a smile on my face than getting a compliment. Whether it is a family member or friend a compliment will make them smile. Or a stranger you can say what a lovely bag, scarf or something. You never know that may just be the thing they need to hear at that moment

Little Uplift Bags

I love this and someone did this in an office I worked in once. Get a small little bag and fill it with little things from a bar of chocolate and tea bag to a little uplifting note. It is just a simple little thing to do

Be Kind

Random Acts of Kindness

I love doing this and will often do something, as I do believe in paying it forward. That if I help or do something for someone they will help one of my friends or family. Whether it is let someone go in front of you in a queue, buy a coffee for the person behind you.

Thank Someone Who Makes a Difference

One thing that you can do that costs literally nothing is saying thank you. Whether it is someone holding a door for you, letting you go first or in the car if a car lets you go. Thank you is so quick to do and goes a very long way

The Five-Minute Check-In

Something we all should be doing regularly is checking in with friends and family. More so those who are going through a tough time of illness, losing someone or who are just struggling.

These are just a few ideas of what you can do. It is all about putting a smile on someone face and letting them know that they are seen.
