Day 23 of Blogtober 2026 and the topic today is Something I Am Looking Forward To Before The End Of The Year.
I can not just choose one thing so am going to share a few things that I am hoping will happen before the end of the year.

Health
My poor Dad has had a very tough 2026. He has mouth cancer and had part of his mouth/jaw removed. Then an intense course of radiotherapy. Now he is struggling with opening his mouth fully.
We are back under the surgical team with his first appointment back with them next month. The one thing I truly want is for them to say the cancer has gone and they can help with the reconstruction to give him back his life.
This will also mean Mum is not so down and insensitive to me with what she says.
Biscuit and the rain
Using this picture again as he is just too cute. Biscuit was born in June and has had the gorgeous dry weather. Now all of a sudden there is wet stuff falling from the sky and the ground is wet.
He does only have little legs so this also is something we need to factor in. But he really does not like the rain. The battle is he needs to go out in the rain to do what a dog has to do.
At the moment it goes like this
- His coat goes on which has a harness attached and a lead
- I put a coat on
- I pick him up grab my umbrella and close the door
- We then have a battle he wants to go back in. I refuse to let him
- Eventually he will do what he needs to do and he runs back in so fast
He did seem a little better by the end of the day yesterday. So hopefully this is something we can improve on. As I can not keep doing this especially late at night when it is even colder. I will win this battle though.
Being More Organised
I am pretty structured with what I need to do each day. I have my tick list either written down or in my head.
Things happen and things get dropped to facilitate something else going on. There is non stop drama due to my parents. Then there is Biscuit getting up to mischief. I can rarely get everything I have planned to do that day. I was ahead of my Blogtober posts and had them scheduled. Now I am behind as it is just stressful.
So I need to just switch off to a lot of what is going on and carry on with my own to do list for each day.
