Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 13/03/2024

We have made it to Wednesday which means two more days until the weekend. This has been such a long week and the weekend can not come quick enough. Find out what has been happening in my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 13/03/2024.

Health

health

I have been suffering a bit lately. As I have spoken about before, my teeth suffered through pregnancy. I have had 8 pregnancies, with one being twins. This has affected my teeth sadly, when C was born my struggles started. My teeth started crumbling but my roots are very strong. I was told I would lose all my teeth due to this. She is 21 this year, and only in recent years my struggles have started.

Last Wednesday, I had three roots removed, with a possible one more needing to be removed. My mouth is still very sore and very tender.

I am also suffering pain from my left shoulder down my arm to my write and hand. I can not grip anything, even typing is a nightmare. Luckily I drive an automatic car, so can drive ok. I have an appointment with a physio at my GP surgery tomorrow. So am hopeful they may be able to help.

Let’s Talk

lets talk

My weekly discussion posts have been really popular, and I have to admit I am loving chatting about different things each week. This week we have been chatting about how to reduce our monthly outgoings. This is something that really does affect us all. What do you do that has helped decrease your spending?

What would you like to talk about next week?

Easter

happy easter

With Mothers Day now over, I am turning towards Easter and my Easter Gift Guide. As it stands at the moment I have just one Easter Egg in my guide, and some lovely Easter gifts that are a lot more healthy. So keep a look out as will be going live very soon.

A Little Update

little update

As you will know from last weeks post, we are expecting baby budgies. So far we have no eggs, but as my lovely daughter keeps telling me. It takes a week, Gizmo seems to be naughty with Snowy every day. So from has been reported by C, we could now expect eggs, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Monday or Tuesday. Watch this space.

What I Am Loving

FUL

Finding products to give your hair that great feeling, helps you feel great in yourself. One thing both myself and my daughter suffer is fly away hair. I was contacted and asked if I would like to review.

I was sent –

  • All Rounder Shampoo – The essential everyday sulphate free shampoo for ultra soft, gorgeous hair. Used by professionals to maintain healthy hair. Targeting multiple hair issues in one wash to unlock the potential of your hair.
  • All Rounder Conditioner – The essential shampoo to maintain healthy hair. Packed with powerful actives for hair that is hydrated, silk smooth, frizz free and protected against breakage.
  • Hyaluronic Acid Hair Serum – Indulge in the rejuvenating benefits of a hyaluronic acid-based hair treatment, expertly formulated to keep your hair luxuriously hydrated and healthy. This transformative treatment not only nourishes but also effortlessly tames flyaways and frizz, leaving your locks irresistibly smooth and radiant.

Both myself and my daughter have been using these products and loving the results. I noticed a considerable clean and softness to my hair and whether leaving my hair to dry naturally or using my hairdryer and straighteners. The results were great. I asked C what she thought and she gave the thumbs up and said her hair is much more manageable and not flyaway or static.

If you would like to try these products, or any of their other products for yourself, FUL are offering my readers a 30% discount code for my readers. Head over to FUL and add code STRESSEDMUM30 at the checkout

  1. I hear you on the teeth front – I also struggled with gingivitis badly during both pregnancies and that caused damage! I really hope your month recovers from the root removals and you feel more comfortable soon

  2. I am sorry to hear that you have struggled with tooth issues. I have gone through a lot of stuff with my teeth as well. It is no fun! I hope you can find some relief.

  3. Very sorry to read about your teeth. It’s upsetting to lose any, especially when you’ve done everything you can to minimise loss after pregnancies. I hope you have a good dentist who is looking after you well.

    1. It is something I have been prepared for since C was a baby, but it does not make it feel any easier. I had a meltdown about it earlier as well

  4. I have so many root canal treatments that I’ve lost count. Some have been held down by crowns and some I’ve lost. I have only been pregnant twice but I lost 3 teeth to it, so now I have dental implants that cost me the Earth. Literally all our life savings went into it. Because they were all my front teeth, I lost all my self esteem. I am not usually a person who cares much of what I look like, but I couldn’t walk out without any front teeth, I just couldn’t do it and so my husband dug deep to get it sorted out for me. Why are implants do ridiculously expensive here?

But what I was trying to say is that I feel your pain. Years I was in pain as my root was dying and having it removed was even more painful. I only hope it gets better soon for you Sam.

  5. I agree, even thought Easter did come quite quickly this year! I hate tooth pain, it is awful. I hope your health gets better soon.

  6. I really hope that your session with the physio went well. It’s lucky that your car is automatic so that you can drive at least when you need to. Looking forward to the Easter guide!

  7. I cannot believe that Easter is almost on the way! I hope you’re feeling better with your tooth surgery and all is going well.

  8. I would like to try the hair products. They sound fabulous and is just the thing I need to put some bounce back in my hair. The discount is helpful!

    1. I love the hair products, I did try a different shampoo on my last wash to see if I could feel a difference, which I could will be stocking up again soon as both myself and my daughter use it

  9. I’m truly sorry to hear about your recent struggles. Pregnancy can take a toll on various aspects of health, including dental health, and it sounds like you’ve been through a lot. It’s understandable that you’re experiencing discomfort and pain, especially after undergoing dental procedures.

  10. Easter did come quite quickly! I do hope that you get your health sorted, you’ve been having a bad one lately.

    1. Easter is coming far too quickly but I am also looking forward to it as get to see my grandaughters. Hopefully getting sorted dentist is great and now have seen a physio

  11. Thank you for sharing the things that have kept you preoccupied lately. I also love doing the same and write a series called “Grateful Dad.”

  12. I hope you are starting to feel a little better, it is not fun when there is dental pain and shoulder pain together! I am looking forward to hearing more updates about the budgies and any eggs that come!!

  13. Wait … 8 pregnancies…. Wauwie! Beautiful! Hats off to you. I am surprised I got through one. When you mentioned decreasing spendings you instantly had my attention. We’re trying to eat less takeout, because we spend way too much on it. The new goal is to cook more ourselves. We’ll see how that goes.

    1. I only carried 1 to term, I lost the others but this has affected my teeth. I am terrible for saying lets get a takeaway, but have been cooking more and it really does help

  14. OMG, I love reading about the budgies! Gizmo is quite the love bird! I can’t wait to hear when you get eggs!

  15. I feel for you with your dental issues – I am sure it can be quite distressing. But I also admire your resolution to deal with it and continue planning all the good things in your life.

    1. It is something that I have no control over, if it was just poor oral hygene then I could fix it easily. This is something I have no control over at all which means I do just have to get on with it

  16. I can’t believe it is almost Easter! I love Easter…I look forward to your gift guide, you always have the best gift guides ever.

    1. I know it is coming around quickly, and I can not wait as already arranged to see my grandkids which I love. I will be publishing soon 🙂
