Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 07/03/2024

Not to throw you out, I am posting this a day later than normal. I had tooth surgery yesterday and totally out of it. So ended up taking the day off. That combined with my arm and hand that I have no idea what I have done, I will be glad when this week is over. Which is why my weekly round up post Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 07/03/2024 is a day late.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day Gift Guide - 2024

Mothers Day is this Sunday, I am looking forward to a lazy day and probably still recouporating. I have just sorted the last of my Mothers Day gifts for my Mum and Mother in law. So can sit back and relax now. If you are still looking for that perfect gift for your Mum, my Mothers Day gift guide has some lovely gift ideas.

Let’s Talk

lets talk

My weekly discussion post was back this week, where we looked at body confidence and feeling good in what you wear. If you feel good and comfortable in what you are wearing you will feel better about yourself.

One topic that keeps being mentioned is how to get discounts and bargains. So will chat about this next week, as I do love a good bargain.

Two Little Updates

little update

Last week I shared a couple of things that had been going on, and thought I would update you as a lot of you have asked about them.

The Budgies

I mentioned that Gizmo had been a bit naughty with Snowy and we could be looking at having babies. We moved them to a different cage and put up a nesting box. Snowy got very busy throwing all the bedding out. Gizmo will not leave her side and being very attentive.

We have no eggs yet, but he was caught being naughty again the other day, so watch this space.

My Mother In Law

She is now home and doing well, she has been tested for everything, and still has to go back for more scans. She had Sepsis, which luckily was caught quickly and she responded well too.

Giveaway

I have a lovely giveaway that has just gone live for those going through the perimenopause.

As always I am working hard on my giveaways so keep checking back.

  1. What happened to your shoulder and hand Sam? Tooth pain are the worse. Honestly, whoever said labour is the most painful thing obviously has never had serious tooth pain lasting for more than 3 days. My husband’s gums are still tender from his wisdom teeth being taken out 3 weeks ago. He’s scarred for life and he’s only had one taken out. Two more to go. I had all of my taken out and I think I said numerous times “kill me now”, haha. It was THAT painful.

    1. No idea what I did to my shoulder and hand, we were in bed watching tv and my husband was looking at Airbnb places to go for my birthday. I was leaning on my arm looking over and when I moved that was it, 2 weeks ago and no better. I have spoken to my GP who has arranged for a physio with someone in our surgery which I have tomorrow. My gums are still very tender and had dentist yesterday who said it is still healing and too tender to do impressions

  2. Sorry to hear that you had to have dental surgery. I can relate, it is no fun! Gizmo sounds like a little character!

    1. Thank you, my mouth is still very sore and tender. Gizmo is a character, he was looking so sorrowful for himself this morning and I was sat chatting to him, when my daughter walked in and said he had been naughty again haha

  3. Ohh dear…I can relate on the tooth surgery, hope you’ve a speedy recovery on it. Cheers SiennyLovesDrawing

  4. I didn’t realise that Mother’s Day was already on Sunday! Thank you for this reminder, I need to get mine something!

  5. Oooh little babies on the way possibly??! Goodness Gizmo! Haha I look forward to hearing what happens next. So glad to hear about your MIL too…God is good!

  6. It sounds like you need the weekend to come fast so you can relax. I am glad to hear your mother in law is well and home and I hope you are feeling a little better after your tooth surgery?

    1. I am looking forward to the weekend and relaxing, my mouth is a lot more painful today, but was told this would happen as the bruising and swelling comes out

  7. Love your ramblings and it will be fun to watch your birds have some babies. Glad your mom is home and doing well.

  8. The budgies definitely keep you busy! Rather sweet to think about Gizmo not leaving Snowy’s side! Hope the tooth pain is improving. Think its one of the toughest types as pain as you can’t rub in voltatol or put a warm wheat bag on it! Thank goodness they caught the sepsis early and she respomded well to treatment.

    1. The birds do keep me busy and waste so much of my time and they are not mine haha. The pain is horrible today but was told this would happen so hopefully will start to improve now

  9. OMG, the budgies are hilarious. At least he’s the kind of dad who sticks around! Gotta love that about him. LOL

  10. Body confidence is a huge one for me! This is something I struggled with for a long time. Thank you for talking about it.
