Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 06/05/2026

Yesterday, I could not get my head around the fact it was Tuesday. For me yesterday was Monday and poor C had to keep correcting me. So when I woke this morning, I actually did know it was Wednesday. This means it is time for my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 06/05/2026.

My Week

This Week

Grief

I have struggled so much lately, but this last week with everything going on it has been hard. I literally shouted and broke down to my Mum that I am at breaking point.

Last year I had to deal with a lot of grief from certain family members. That stopped me grieving and finding myself. Instead it was me hiding myself away and having panic attacks. This year I am dealing with so much with my poor Dad and no support and it is affecting me. I fight back tears, not sleeping, having panic attacks.

I just need to hope that things will get easier at some stage and I can start to do things for me. As I know I have been neglecting myself.

Health

I finally got to have my diabetic health check today. It went well and I have lost weight since my last one. I was shocked as I swear I have been putting it on. Now just need to wait for the results to come back.

I have had such ba pain in my shoulder that is spreading to my arm and hand. She gave me some tips and exercises to help to see if it stops.

Dad

My poor Dad after his fall last week, he was able to come home on Thursday and he just had a cracked rib.

Friday, we were called to hospital regarding his mouth and had to wait for ages. We now need to sort out him having two teeth extracted before he can start radiotherapy. This is much more difficult than you would imagine but needs to be done asap. So far we have been told 3 separate appointments and then no that is not right. Which may give you some insight into why I have been so quiet.

Time Out

I did manage some time out as well. A whole evening with my oldest friend which always means lots of laughter.

I also enjoyed a couple of trips out with C where we did some retail therapy.

Yesterday, I met up with another old friend (not old in age) where we put the world to right and also again some more laughs, which was very much needed.

  13. I’m so sorry read about your continuing high levels of stress, especially with your father’s situation.

The NHS should be there to help us with health matters when we need it. However, the organisation actually causes us stress when we are unable to access the services we require and we often lack the confidence in the services if and when we manage to receive them.

Good to know that you are managing rare snapshots of laughter in between everything else that is going on. Best wishes to you.

  14. My little boy, just wake up at 5am in the morning, telling me “buongiorno” with a big smile in his face <3

  28. Arriving at a campsite for Day 1 of our seaside holiday and pitching up in the dry! Rain had been forecast all afternoon but not a drop fell. A cold and brisk N.E wind blowing off the sea soon made the smile disappear though.

  29. Knowing that I had last nights MAFS Australia to catch up on when I got home from work. Double episodes!
