Health

Following on from last weeks post, I had my appointment with the breast clinic last Friday. As I had been there in June, they agreed that I did not need another mammogram, which I was very relieved at. They decided to do an ultra sound which showed trauma to my breast tissue. I was asked if I had knocked it or anything, which I hadn’t so they wanted to do biopsies. They did give me th option oh having them done the same time or come back. I decided to have them taken while there.
I have been very sore since and the stitches are still in place. The worst thing was not being able to have a proper shower as had to keep the area dry. Whilst in the middle of doing a food shop yesterday the hospital rang me with my results. I can not remember fully what it is called but it is nothing serious which was a huge relief.
One of the advantages of having this done was not being able to do anything heavy which included housework, shopping of anything strenuous. Which meant I could sit and rest and put my feet up. This however, did not stop me doing some baking with the help of C.
Back To College

C had her enrolment in college last Thursday, she has this week off and starts back next Monday afternoon. She is excited but we do have a few health issues which we have been trying to combat these past couple of months. The main one dizziness which she is suffering and obviously need sorting.
Preparing For A 21st Birthday

Somehow and I am not sure how it has happened, C is turning 21 in November. I still remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Over the years she has had some rough times and often been too ill to celebrate her birthdays. Which is why we are wanting to make her 21st special.
I am trying to have 21 presents for her to open. There will be a few presents she has asked for, some surprises and I have told her we want to give her something she can keep. We agreed on a Pandora ring.
I am enjoying looking for gifts for her and to make this birthday special and finding special keepsakes that she can look back on in the years to come.

I love shopping for presents, I’m sure you will have fun picking her birthday presents.
I do love buying for C as she is so easy to buy for and to trick into finding out what she wants. One present arrived today
Very happy to hear that C is turning 21 this November. Convey my much earlier birthday wishes! Also, glad to hear that your appointment with the clinic whent well and there’s nothing serious to worry about.
Thank you am having fun finding her birthday gifts to total 21 and have my Mum on board. I was so relieved to get the results
I hope C’s health gets better and you all figure out what is causing the dizziness. Life has been a bit hectic lately, but it’ll all resolve itself. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, still dizzy so will probably be back at the Drs once we know her new college timetable
Good to know you are doing better now. It’s a good idea to buy 21 gifts on C’s 21 birthday. I hope you get some amazing gifts for her.
Thank you just need stitches to go and finally heal. I am looking forward to the 21 gifts have a few already
I so enjoyed reading your post and I am so glad everythign came out OK with your breast exam. I am due for that and need to go myself…. never a fun time. I cannot believe C will be 21! Very cool and what a fun time in ones life! I tell my daughter all fo the time that the 20’s and 30’s are the best and to live them up!
Thank you, it was a huge relief to hear everything was ok. It is not fun but something so important even for peace of mind. It is scary she is going to be 21 in less than two months. I tell her the exact same thing
That’s so good to hear that it’s nothing serious for you, that must have been such a relief. And wow 21, how time flies. I’ve wanted to do the whole number of present things but most my husband’s next big birthday is 40 and that seems like a lot of presents haha x
It was a huge relief even in the middle of Sainsburys. I did the whole number of presents for my Mums 80th which was fun but very stressful at the same time. I feel 21 is a lot easier to deal with
so pleased your results were nothing serious. My kids go back to school tomorrow and it couldn’t come soon enough. Teenagers are just so annoying!
Thank you, was a huge relief. My eldest grandaughter went back yesterday C goes back to college on Monday
quite an eventful week for you all
fingers crossed with breast screening
Thank you it was a stressful week but results all clear which is great
I do hope you heal up quickly! I would have probably got them done at the same time too.
The stitches are still in place but am able to shower properly now which is great still a bit sore and painful but can cope with that
I’m so pleased to hear that the hospital visit resulted in nothing serious. That must be such a relief for all of you
It was a huge relief thank you 🙂
Very pleased to hear that the biopsy results came back okay. Hope you are able to get some answers for C’s dizziness
Thank you , was a huge relief even thought I was in the middle of Sainsburys with C waving something at me. We did get cake to celebrate. She is still suffering which look like another trip to the drs tomorrow before college starts on Monday
So pleased to read that your results were good though it did make me smile that you received the call in the middle of a food shop. Hardly surprising you can’t remember exactly what the condition is called.
What a fab idea to buy 21 gifts for C’s 21st birthday. November is just around the corner so I hope you enjoy the planning and purchasing.
Although I was 99% certain it was nothing serious there is always that doubt. My phone started ringing and I was saying to C omg its the hospital it did not stop her waving things at me to put in the trolly. We did get cake to celebrate.
I want to make her 21st special as she has had so many ruined birthdays due to her illness.
I look forward to your Wednesday updates, they’re very inspiring to me. It is great that you got cleared by the doctor, I am so happy for you.
Thank you, this week has been a bit quieter as had other things going on. I was in the middle of shopping with C showing me things she wanted to put in the trolly
I hope she gets her dizziness sorted out for school. That should be an exciting and fun time, not a time to be dealing with annoying health issues. =(
Honestly, we have been back to the Dr so many times, good thing is her blood pressure is ok now but dizziness still there
I’m glad you were able to find a silver lining! I mean, having an excuse to not do housework is a plus.
That was a great bonus, I have done two loads of washing today and that has caused a lot of pain which I was not expecting
