Following on in my Meet The Blogger series, today I am introducing you to Georgia Anne who blogs over at Georgia Anne

Georgia Anne

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?

My name is Georgia Anne and I write my blog Georgia Anne

WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING?

I was in a moody phase in the latter end of my teenage years and desperately needed a hobby to get my mind off things. I discovered and fell in love with blogging, set up my own and never looked back!

HAS YOUR BLOG CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

Dramatically. I would post anything and it rarely went over 50 words. Now my minimum word count is significantly higher and I write more think pieces. I’m also a lot more open now about my feelings and opinions.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FUNNIEST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?

My first press event was hilarious! I was so overly excited and it really showed. Pictures of everything, “oh my god really can I?” Being my catch phrase of the night whenever I was offered anything! Really funny in hindsight!

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR WORST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?

I was getting myself down comparing my blog to bigger bloggers, it weighed on my shoulders a lot and I took a break for a few months.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW BLOGGER STARTING OUT?

Don’t compare! Everyone is unique and each blogger has something different and special to offer.

WHAT SURPRISED YOU ABOUT BLOGGING THAT YOU DID NOT REALISE BEFORE YOU STARTED?

That I could get paid! I didn’t know there was money in it until I got my first paid collaboration. I then learned it could be a job and I was mind blown!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?

I have a full time job outside of blogging which takes up 99% of my time that isn’t spent blogging. I also spend a lot of time in Lisbon being as that’s where my other half is living right now!

IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY WHAT WOULD YOU DO FIRST?

Buy a house – I know it’s generic but to have my own home that I own would be incredible.

WHO IS YOUR BLOGGING HERO AND WHY?

I don’t have one specific person to be honest! So many girls inspire me!

Georgia Anne seems so amazing and so does her blog. I too started blogging because I needed something new. A project to work on – a hobby. I will be sure to check out her blog. Thanks for this introduction!

I like her advice to new bloggers. That is so true. Don’t compare! Just be your own unique self and write about the things you are passionate about.

Nice interview as always. One thing is certain, comparison has a way of making one lose focus and slowing one down. I started blogging in may. I wrote articles the first week and went on break. Started again the second week of June and didn’t stop. I don’t care how many views other bloggers get or how much they make. I’m focused on getting better and I’m beginning to see results. We are all unique in our own way. 🙂

The one thing any Blogger will tell you is not compare yourself to others and it is the one piece of advice everyone needs to learn.

Every blogger has a story of their first time starting out. It is tough to do and manage a full-time career as well.

It is tough to blog and have a career at the same time, a lot of work goes into bloging that you do not realise until you become involved x

Good advice: don’t compare! So true, it can really knock your confidence. We are all unique & see a world our own ways, variety is what makes the blogging so colorful!

I think this is the best piece of advice any Blogger can give and receive x

Georgia Ann sounds amazing! Love her vibe and glad that blogging helped her through her later teenage years. I started blogging because I wanted to get my thoughts out and in certain areas wanted to help people with things like game strategy guides. If I couldn’t find it online no one else was either! lol

Glad you enjoyed the post, we all start blogging for different reasons, but as you say if you can not find it then no one else will and that is a great reason to blog
