Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 63

As you know by now Tuesday is Life In A Lockdown Linky day, where since the beginning of lockdown I have been taking part and sharing my week with you.  We answer a set list of questions.

It is lovely looking back on how different things were and how we all adapted to lockdown life, and then slowly coming out of lockdown.

I had a lovely week away last week, which was lovely to get away and also see how everywhere is coping with social distancing and covid.

If you want to take part in the linky the questions are

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am 50/50 really, we had a week away last week touring the Lake District and heading to Newcastle supporting our friend doing the C2C cycle ride.  It was lovely and the break we needed.

I was also trying to get C a referral to the hospital for her TMJ which is her jaw, she can barely open her mouth and eating causes a lot of pain.  I had a huge row with our GP before we went, and another yesterday as he is refusing to do anything as 4 years ago the hospital could not find anything.  My Mum has now said to look privately, which is a job for me today.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Touring around the Lakes and having a couple of days in Newcastle, before the long drive home on Sunday.  We saw some great scenery, both of us just went wow when we hit the Lake District.  We had a lot of laughs and it was great to just get away and do something different.

3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I haven’t been working so can not answer this one this week

4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?

We did have plans for next week, which have now had to be put on hold

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)

Nothing although more because I have been away

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

How beautiful our Country is, I have seen some amazing scenery

7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?

Never take life for granted, be grateful for the little things

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Keep on going, take one day at a time and we will get through this

Thank you to

I know it seems to be never ending, I suffered with the heat and wearing my mask when we were away last week, and noticed a high amount of people not wearing masks which did get me annoyed. I understand those who can not wear them for medical reasons but this was a much higher amount than normal I think people are just fed up of it all

It was lovely to get away, although staying somewhere different each night was tiring but worth it for the views which were amazing

I am hoping restrictions lift soon, but I am happy that I can continue with my little business as normal for now. Hopefully it will get better. I get annoyed at peoples attitudes too. So frustrating! We need to club together.

I am hoping restrictions lift soon as well, but do understand the delay, but we will not move forward if not everyone is following the rules

So pleased to hear that you enjoyed your break, it sounds like a much needed break and what better place to escape than the beautiful Lake District! I hope going private gives you a few more answers too, fingers crossed! x

It was lovely getting away and the scenery was amazing, everywhere you looked. I think if I left it to our GP I would end up getting barred from there, he really is not taking it seriously. At least going private we will know what is going on and treatment

The pandemic thinking has been over for quite a while in my area, thankfully! We’ve been back to normal for a while now.

I am glad C got her referral and hope they can help her – it sounds like it is so sore for her. I am glad you have had some good moments between the not so good.

We have had to go private as was having a never ending battle with our GP, but it is worth paying out as she is in so much discomfort and pain

How lovely that you went and supported a friend. I hope you manage to get a referral for C soon, sounds ever so painful.

It was great fun, and so proud of him for finishing it with no disasters. We have gone private now and got an appointment for next weekx

Your GP sounds like a headache. I am glad you did get to go out and explore for a bit.
