Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 53

Life In A Lockdown Linky - Week 53

We are now 53 weeks on from when I first took part in the Life In A Lockdown Linky.  During this time we have been in lockdown, come out of lockdown.  Had to start wearing masks and gone back into lockdown.  Now a year on from when this started we are just starting to open up a bit.  I can not wait for next week and hopefully get to see my hairdresser

It has been great to document the strangest year of my life and to look back on to see how much we have gone through and achieved.

The questions in case you want to take part are

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am feeling ok at the moment, I am looking forward to my birthday next week and being able to go out for a meal.  I just have to keep my fingers crossed that the weather is going to be warm enough. Also today I picked up my three year old granddaughter to stay for a couple of nights.  I am currently working very slowly and stopping to play when she wants me too, while we watch Frozen.

We are still waiting on the EHCP which is stressing me out quite a lot still, but all we can do is wait.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Not a lot we had a quiet Easter and just getting the house 3 year old ready

3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I think it has to be about the Auron Self Cleaning Bottle, it is such a great idea

4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?

It is my birthday next week so hoping to go out for a meal and a drink that will be such a luxury after the past few months

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)

Another new tap for our bathroom sink, I wanted a waterfall tap and it is lovely, but with the water pressure it misses the sink and flows onto the floor.

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My family and friends, my coffee and technology

7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?

Never take life for granted, be grateful for the little things

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Keep on going, take one day at a time and we will get through this

Thank you to

  3. It’s all depending on the weather isn’t it whether we can go out for meals or not, I hope you get to go out for your birthday. Come on sun!! It was actually snowing here yesterday and I live in the South East. Crazy times. Let us hope that there aren’t many life in lockdown blog posts to go, which means we will all be out of this very soon.

    1. It is all weather dependant but fingers crossed we will be able to enjoy a meal out. I am in the South East as well and it snowed, it also snowed yesterday afternoon as well, and when I looked at my weather app yesterday it said snow for Sunday

  4. Thank you for making me laugh when describing your waterfall tap. It does work, but the waterfall sounds a bit bigger than expected.

    1. It made us laugh as well, I just love waterfall taps and was so happy to have one, but it just does not work and we have to have an ordinary tap. It was quite impressive though

    1. Thank you I hope it is nice weather as well, and I did sleep very well last night, especially after she was being a monkey about going to sleep

  7. Aw that is so lovely that you have your granddaughter for a few nights, I bet you will have so much fun! Fingers crossed you get yo go out for your birthday too! Mine is on the 21st April and I am hoping I might be able to do something even if it is outside lol! x

    1. It has been lovely having my granddaughter here, she goes home tomorrow and we have not stopped since she got here. We baked sausage rolls for lunch in between playing, then cookies and she then announced she wanted to make chocolate cakes so Nanny couldn’t say no. I forgot how much goes into entertaining a 3 year old. I hope we both get to go out and do something on our birthdays

  8. How nice for you to have your granddaughter to visit. I have not seen my daughter and granddaughter since last summer, but next week we are going to visit them, so I’m really excited.

    1. It was great and we had an amazing time, I have missed them so much and it was what we all needed. I hope you have fun visiting them next week
