Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 43

Here we are again, somehow it is Tuesday, which means it is time for my Life In A Lockdown Linky – week 43 can you believe it.  I heard something the other day saying we could be in Lockdown until the Summer.

I have no idea how a week can go so fast, when you are stuck home in lockdown.  Somehow the weeks are speading by.  If you are interested in joining in the linky the questions are below.

The questions

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?
8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am very up and down, I mentioned last week that I had a hospital appointment, which I went to last Wednesday where I had biopsies taken from my womb.  I have been having a lot of problems during Menopause and it was found two years ago that my body produces cells faster than it should.  If left untreated it could turn to cancer.  This is hopefully the final one as just need one more clear result.  It was so painful and she took what she could, and said she was not sure if she had enough and I may need to go back.  I am still in pain now, for some reason I think I was just a bit too tender or she was buterchering me.

I am very up and down today with my mood, today is the day of the panel hearing for C’s EHCP appeal.  Part of me thinks she will get it, the other part is already having arguments in my head when they say they have declined it.  No idea what time the meeting is, but have been promised a call to let me know, so we do not have to wait for the letter.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Not a lot, apart from last Wednesday I have not been out of the house.  We finally got snow yesterday which my dogs loved.

This was just as it started to snow, they loved it but I was not so keen to have them in and out every 5 minutes.  I did go and play with them in the snow though.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

I really have no idea, I did hope that with the vaccines now going strong, things would start to improve.  I heard something the other day saying that the vaccine might not protect against the new strains coming through.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

Honestly, I have no idea.  I am just taking one day at a time at the moment

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

It is my friends 50th birthday next week, as we are not seeing her I have had to look for a gift that I can post.

I got her this gorgeous silver necklace from a small business on Not On The High Street, it is gorgeous and something special she can keep.

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

Technology, I say it every week but it really is my saviour

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

I love my Soaps I watch them everyday it is my escape from reality, also programs like Married At First Sight Australia.  My poor husband

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Technology, I am able to keep in contact with friends and family.  Plus deal with family dramas which has kept me busy the past week as well.

Thank you to

  1. I am glad the hospital appointment went well. Fingers crossed for one more clear result. The procedure doesn’t sound fun at all.
It looks like the dogs loved the snow. We didn’t have any here, just a thick layer of frost. Hmmf.
That necklace is gorgeous. Happy birthday to your friend, I bet she loves it. x

    1. I am glad the appointment is over and hopefully my last one. The dogs did love the snow especially as it came down thick and fast from just after that photo. My friend will love it she is like me and loves her jewellery and special pieces she can keep

  2. Ohh, I hope you start to feel better, maybe you’re a delicate flower 🙂

Your dogs are gorgeous, I think a lot of us enjoyed that fresh snowfall x

  3. I will keep my fingers crossed that your biopsies all come back clear, that must be so worrying for you to have to deal with the waiting and not knowing.

    1. Thank you, still no news which I am hoping means good news, this is the third lot and hopefully this one being clear means I am free of having them done for a while.
