Firstly I know I missed my weekly round up last week. I do have a very good reason for this which I will talk about further down. Can you believe it is March today, this year really is flying quickly. As it is Wednesday it is also time for my weekly Diary of a Menopausal Mum -01/03/2023 post.

The Declutter
We still have the skip outside, and still finding bits to put in it. One of the main reasons is that my husband decided to move our bedroom around. Our bedroom is small and previously, we had our tv in a unit which he built at the end of our bed. We could move it up and down to hide it away. Of course we rarely did this and it made the room quite dark.
So a huge move around, which also meant redecorating and new curtains etc. It does look a lot better and more space.
Work Experience
C is in her second week of her work experience at the Vets. She is loving it, although finding full time working hours hard, she is shattered. She sends me updates through out the day. She has also seen and learnt so much –
- How to sterile clean the rooms and equipment
- Watching Operations
- How to set up for operations
- Hearing heart beats
- How to calculate hear rhyhms
- How you know what tubes to use
- Keeping a check on the animals while sedated
- And so much more
She has found what she wants to do for her career. The nurse she is shadowing, has also said that the course she is on if she carries on to level 2 and level 3. She will have the qualifications she needs. Plus she has had a conditional offer for level 2.
Dentist
You all know my ongoing teeth problem. Last Wednesday, I finally had the surgery to remove three broken teeth. The pain is still there and my mouth still sore. More so if trying to eat, so have been on soft foods which of course is making me crave the most stupid of things. Hopefully next week will be a lot better.
The Chirpster
As C has been doing work experience, I have been left in charge of the chirpster. She is downstairs in the lounge and really keeping me entertained. I have had to cover my mirror as she keeps trying to fly into into it. She loves looking out the window.
She is out of her cage most of the time, and one of her favourite places to perch is on my glasses. As soon as C walks in she makes a beeline for her which is lovely. We have had her 4 weeks today apparently.
What I Am Loving
Over the past few years, drinks bottles have become more and more popular. You can get them in any size, shape and colour it seems.
Both C and I love our bottles, which is why I have loved working alongside Original People. To review one of their Water Bottles.

I can’t believe it’s March too! . The weeks just keep going by so fast don’t they!. Oh wow, I did my experience at the vets when I was younger and absolutely loved it
The weeks are flying past far too quickly
I hope you will be able to eat properly again soon. Food is so boring without texture. But I do highly recommend you get implants if you can. My glue didn’t stick very well so my denture kept coming out every time I ate or drank. Now I’ve got implants I definitely feel more confident walking in public
I am looking at implants at the moment as tied my dentures yesterday for the first time

Glad to hear your teeth are on the mend, and that C is doing well with work experience. It’s a great thing to know what you want to do, and have a passion that you get paid for.

Glasses were hit and miss yesterday, as you saw my hands and laptop were favourite. Last day today so will see what fun we have today. She is loving her work experience and been so lucky as they are great with her and plan their day around what she can do and learn

The chirpster has really settled in, I am looking after her during the day at the moment while C does her work experience. She was very interested in helping me work today
Due to where our house is located and the road we can’t have a skip so have to settle on skip bags which just aren’t quite the same. That’s so good to hear about C’s work experience x
I have thought about skip bags but always opted for a skip, we are lucky to have a huge parking area. C is struggling with the hours which is understandable but is loving it

She is such a time waster haha, currently in a right strop as wants to come out but one of my dogs is in here so would be a nightmare

She is loving, I am as well as she updates me through the day and tells me all about her day on the way home. I am going to miss her updates next week.

My bedroom does look so much better now we have moved it around, the only thing now is that I was right next to the door, now I am the other side which is a pain. C is loving her work experience and I love the updates she gives me through the day and our drive home when I pick her up, she is finding the hours tiring though. I just want to be able to eat properly again
