The Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 29/03/2023

I seem to have missed a few weeks, life has been getting in the way. So I really do need to write The Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 29/03/2023 post. For a hello and update.

We Still Have The Skip

skip

Can you believe we still have the skip here, although the declutter has been finished for a while now. My husband still keeps saying about the garage.

The Chirpster

You may remember when we got this little vulture (you will understand why I call her that). We had to get a new cage for her, as she found she could get through the bars. We now have the original cage in our lounge, so when C is at college all day. Or out she comes down with us. She is good and will sit sill while coming down.

On Monday and Tuesdays, she is down with me, which means a lot of work does not get done. She loves a computer or phone.

She spends a lot of her time ‘helping’ me, which means she gets in the way of my keyboard, or sits on the mouse pad. And being helpful she can even flip through screens. I try to move her but she is insistent, will argue back or even try to move me, hence the vulture part.

What I Have Been Loving

Aveeno Kids Range

aveeno kids range

One brand that I love is Aveeno, and their kids range has just got better. With the introduction of their AVEENO® KidsFace & Body Moisturising Lotion.

I was sent a range of their Aveeno Kids range to review.

  • Face & Body Moisturising Lotion – Clinically proven to soothe and nourish, helping to preserve the skin’s natural moisture barrier from the first use.
  • Bubble Bath & Wash -Clinicaally proven to gently wash away dirt and germs, without drying, for soft and nourished skin.
  • Shampoo – Designed to gently cleanse and hydrate hair, without drying the scalp. The Shampoo leaves different hair types soft, shiny and easy to comb.
  • Kids Conditioner – For maximum benefits, apply to clean hair, concentrating on the ends and areas prone to dryness. Leave for a minute and rinse thoroughly.

Making sure we look after our kids skin and hair is very important. It is something I have always done with mine. Plus I always have kids products for when the grandchildren come and stay. also from time to time myself and C love to use kids products as they as so much kinder to the skin. I have loved this brand for many years, and love the kids range just as much.

Easter Is Coming

Easter

Easter is coming and I have been working on my Easter Gift Guide. Of course it has lots of chocolate gift ideas, but also some other great Easter Gifts.

  1. This has reminded me that I really need to declutter my house and skip would be great! Also love the Aveeno range – such great products and kind to skin as well

    Laura x

  2. I love the Chirpster! It’s great that they are spending so much time with you. I’ll have to check out your Easter Basket gift guide – it’s snuck up on me.

  3. I’m so excited for Easter! It’s going to be such a fun time celebrating with the kids. We’re even traveling and planning on doing some crafts too, so it’s going to be really exciting!

  4. Your budgie is very sweet! A friend of mine rescued a crow once and it used to fly around the living room! Looking forward to the Easter holidays

  5. Glad to see that you’re back, I know life can get busy at times. I must check out your Easter gift guide. I’m such a choc-o-holic. LOL.!

  6. Well, I just think it’s the cutest thing that you’ve trained your bird to behave outside its cage. I wish I had done that more with our little Tweetie bird. So cute!

  7. Chirpster sounds like a right little character. She sounds like she can be fun to have around but also slows down work quite a bit. I can’t believe she fit through the cage bars. Glad you got another that is better.

    1. She is a character, just going to get her down to join me in a bit. Her original cage is down in our lounge now and I think she hs forgotten about getting through the bars

  8. I wish we could have a pet bird too, but I think my dogs would not like that idea. Spoiled brats, that’s what they are. Easter is going to be here soon and I have not planned for it yet. My sister and my niece will be moving to Australia next week, so I guess our Easter celebration might come a bit early.

  9. Love this and your bird is beautiful. I had two of those as a kid and they are beautiful creatures and love your nickname for the bird too LOL……

  10. I hope for your sake your husband sorts out the garage so you can get rid of the skip. When we renovated I think our skips lasted about 2 days each as we had so much rubbish haha x

  11. I have never seen such a well trained budgie in my life. She must be so loved. I think if we had a skip we would keep it as long as we can to encourage us to keep decluttering and literally until the skip cannot contain anymore junk of ours. Other we would just keep on hoarding stuff.

  12. Easter is coming and I cannot wait to celebrate it with the kids. We are traveling and doing some crafts too. It’s gonane be exciting.

  13. Budgies have such fantastic personailities! I think the sometimes forget that are birds and not humans!

  14. Nice catch up – the chirpster seems to be having fun
I actually have lost track of time – better start planning easter
