Here we are at Wednesday again, and looks like Spring is starting to appear as the sun is shining which always puts a smile on my face. It also means it is time for my weekly Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 25/02/2026.

My Week

Health
It has been yet another week of health issues. Firstly my poor Dad, there seems to be so many hospital appointments and telephone appointments it is hard to keep up. He had a telephone appointment yesterday, and another appointment changed to early on Friday morning which will mean another journey sat in traffic to get there.
We are now waiting on the test results to come back for C. Where hopefully we can find out what is going on with her at the moment.
Grief
I have no idea why, but last week I was in tears more than I was not I think. I think it is because I have gone through the first anniversary and have the final goodbye looming. They do say that the second year is the hardest. As the first year you are in shock and the second year you realise the reality of it all. Everything seems to be like too much of an effort. Luckily, I have C who keeps me going and getting up in the mornings. I have not had a proper full nights sleep for over a year which I think is also not helping me.
My Car
I have been a complete pain with where I purchased the car this week. Plus I have also been speaking with Nissan who were not much help. I told them I needed it sorted by the end of the week or they can swap for a replacement of the same spec. Yesterday I had a long chat with where I purchased my car from and they told me they are still trying to sort out why my door will not lock.
I explained how this is affecting my anxiety when leaving the car and they said they can do something where the door stays locked all the time until it is sorted. No idea how this works but will see what they come back with.
University
C now has 3 university offers. Two we have seen one is over 4 hours away and she just applied without looking at it. We are back to one this Saturday and then off to the one she has not yet seen next month. She really does know how to keep me busy. With all she has been through with her health I am so proud of her.
What I Am Loving

A favourite brand I love to use is Vamoosh. They have products that help make our lives that little easier. Three new products have recently been released –
- Hair Shield Fabric Conditioner – An advanced Hair Shield Technology which will smooth fabric fibres during washing, helping reduce how much pet and human hair clings to clothes, meaning less lint rolling and more time cuddling furry friends.
- Rapid Stain Wipes – A fast-acting, plant-based wipe that lift fresh stains instantly from clothes, carpets, and upholstery, no water, no waiting, perfect for spills on the go .
- Fabric Whitener Sheets – Revive dull or greying whites using a dissolvable, biodegradable sheet that works in just 15 minutes, even at low temperatures, no liquids, no harsh bleach
I have tried all the above products and they have all done what they are supposed to do
Available to purchase at B&M Stores.
Mothers Day

With Mothers Day just weeks away, my Mothers Day Gift Guide has some lovely gift ideas and will be going live very soon. Hopefully you will find something great for your mum.
For the first time ever, I booked for us all to go out for a Mothers Day Sunday lunch locally to us. So no cooking will be lovely.
