As we roll into Wednesday again, it is time for my weekly round up post of how my week has gone. So grab a cuppa and read on with my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 20/08/2025.

My Week
Cars
I still have our old car listed on eBay following another person messing about. I do not get why you would bid on a car if you have no intention of going through with the offer.
Also my new car flashed up with check coolant level. I had no idea how to do this and messaged my friend who is currently away in Spain as I had no idea you have to put the right colour coolant in the car. Then I put a post on Facebook and was told it needed draining out first. Panic set in and the tears flowed as how the hell do I do this.
I ended up messaging my best friend and asked her if she could ask her son, who I have known all his life. Last night he was on the phone to me explaining what I needed to do. I followed his instructions with my friend saying are you getting this. I also checked again this morning and it needed topping up again. Will test it out later to see if it works ok and I have fixed that problem.
Grief
I have had another hard week. Not only the problem with the car. It has also been so many insensitive comments and they just hit like a knife.
I did have a wobble on Saturday morning. We had been invited to a friends house for a BBQ. The last time I saw them was with my husband, plus he always drove there. So with my little emotional support child by my side we headed off and nearly 2 hours later, we arrived safely. It was hard walking in, but we had a good time. I did nearly break down a few times as saw a lot of people who I last saw with my husband, but I survived.
Health
This week C finally had her blood test for her gluten intolerance. We are both hoping it comes back she is just gluten intolerant and not coeliac.
Next week it is her POTS testing. Neither of us are looking forward to it and we have to go to Hammersmith for 10am in the morning.
What I Am Loving

I cannot believe how much car trouble you have been having! It has been a real saga. I am glad you ended up getting out and about to see friends – that’s always daunting but good for the soul.
I think it is because I no longer have my husband, he would just sort things. The coolant would have been done straight away. As I know nothing about cars it is a drama. Although it was very hard and emotional I was glad I went out of my comfort zone and saw my friends
I will have to try the Vamoosh cleaner, that sounds like a very useful product.
Sorry you are struggling with grief; I am sure that it is so hard.
I do love the Vamoosh cleaners especially as I live in a hardwater area it is important to keep on top of the cleaning
The bbq must have been tough but you’re really strong for going and being around friends. Keeping my fingers crossed for Cs test results x
The bbq was hard and emotional, we are staying with my husbands best mate next weekend, and seeing a group of his friends that will be very emotional as well. No results through yet, will chase tomorrow

I did make it and got there and back safely, it is just little things while there that just hit me so hard one was that he should be there with me

Well done on emptying the coolant! I wouldn’t have a clue how to do it! I find youTube quite good when it comes to working out how to do something as you can normally find the right model.

I didn’t have to drain the coolant in the end, my friends son talked me through everything and I drove my car yesterday and it was fine thankfully. My gift guides are starting to look great already

Selling a car on eBay might be challenging, and as you said, people do show interest and then disappear, so weird. The same thing with FB Marketplace…
