Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 06/08/2025

Here we are at Wednesday again. Some how, and I have no idea how, I have survived to be here again and fill you in on my week with my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 06/08/2025.

Table of Contents

My Week

This Week

I honestly do not know where to start it has been a week no one thought it would be.

New Car

I channelled my husband and got myself a new car and put our old car on eBay. It is lovely and I am getting on great with it. I am heartbroken to be getting rid of our old car but I also know my husband would have done the same. Although he probably could have fixed it.

Grief

On Saturday it was six months since I lost my husband. I did write a post about the past six months, as I have messages from others going through the same and they have found it comforting in some way how I am sharing my grief.

There has always been some drama every single that has caused me to put my own grief to one side and deal with some drama. Last weekend, I put my phone on do not disturb and focused on myself and C.

Mental Health

Last Thursday my eldest stepson went missing, he was found at hospital with mental health issues. He was discharged, on Monday he took an overdose but was discharged.

Yesterday, I was seeing my grand kids and as he lived close said I would pop over and see him. C came with me and he took another overdose in front of us. It was horrible I was on the phone to 999 and an ambulance came. His partner went with him and we went back to get my Mum. I spent about 15 minutes with the grand kids before we headed to the hospital. He was in and out of consciousness and it was horrible. We finally left the hospital just before 10pm after he had been assessed and they agreed to keep him in and re-assess him today. We are still waiting for that. I am home and just getting updates by phone at the moment, but can see me up and down the M25 for the coming weeks.

Butterflies

I know robins are a sign of a loved one visiting. Since losing my husband I have heard the same about butterflies. The other week one kept flying around me and C until I said Hi Bry and it flew off. I am sitting in my lounge, no windows open and a butterfly appeared near my window on the inside. I carefully put up my blind and opened my window and it sat there until I said Hi Bry and it then flew off.

What I Am Loving

Pambros

When we have pets, they become part of the family. This means their health is just as important than ours. Which is why Pambros can help with this. Obviously, I had to get my furbaby Bear to be chief reviewer on this.

Although he has a good diet, and at 9 on his recent visit to the vets. We were told he is in very good condition and does not look his age. We do make sure we give him all the help we can. We have been reviewing two products

Bear loved these and thinks they are treats. He loved them and looks at me expectantly each morning for his treats. Plus we get the feel good knowledge we are helping him.

Giveaways

giveaways

I will be drawing the winner for my £10 Amazon gift card soon so keep an eye on your emails and social media.

In the meantime, have you seen my latest giveaway to win a Pamper Hamper.

I will be (hopefully) starting another little giveaway to win a £10 Amazon voucher soon. I am having to move from Rafflecopter which is the site I use as they are closing down in October. So my giveaways may be slightly different from now on.

I hope you have all had a good week.

  1. When my dad died i kept being visited by Butterflies,so i hope there’s some truth in them being a departed loved one

  2. I’m sorry to hear you are going through so much. To lose your husband and go through stuff with your son as well is a lot. Hang in there. I hope you enjoy the new car, as much as you’ll miss the old one..

    1. It has been a tough time, I have spoken to my son today and feel better for speaking to him. Loving my new car just need to sell our old one now

  3. It is amazing that you got a new car, congratulations…I had no idea you could sell cars on ebay, wow…I will check it out.

  4. Sorry to hear about your step son, hope he gets the helps he needs i tried to take my own life 7 years ago and finally got the help i needed so something good could come out of your stepson’s situation

  5. I am so sorry to read about your eldest son. I really hope that they assess him properly this time.

  6. I think your husband would be very proud of you. Speaking as a guy, I would never want my partner to hang on to anything that wasn’t working simply because it used to be mine. And I know FOR A FACT that he’d be pleased to see you making it happen like that on your own.

    1. Thank you, I really needed to hear that. I was always the more emotional and attached one where as he was the practical one I used to joke to him about it at times

  7. Is this the same stepson who was being so cruel to you in previous posts? If so, his actions make much more sense, now, I think.

    1. No this is the eldest one, it was the other one who has been causing all the upset. I also think that the younger one has got into the older ones head. But as much as I tell him he needs to step back from him until he has sorted through his own issues he never listens

  8. Another interesting week for you but very scary with the incident with your stepson. I’m sure my daughter’s dog would benefit from the chews from Pambros

    1. Honestly, you could not make this up. I have spoken to him on the phone today as I have to be home. He doesn’t want to stay and is going home so I was telling him he is going nowhere. I am sure your daughters dog will love the chews
