Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 03/05/3023

It is time for my weekly round up post. As I have not talked about the menopause for a while, I have decided to change the title. The only change is the title so read on for my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 03/05/3023.

Breaking Down

broken down

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that our car had broken down. My husband fixed it with fingers crossed it was an easy fix. It seemed to work and I headed off to take C to college last Thursday. Luckily she starts at 1.30 so was not rush hour traffic. It was fine until I got to the exit and it broke down. I rang my husband who was stuck with no car and he told me to let it cool and coast it home.

This happened 8 times, with one of them on a narrow one way with a double decker bus behind me. I got out and I think my face told him I was upset and he managed to get past me. I rang my Mum who was out to make sure she could pick C up if I was not home. She rang when she got home and I was in tears to her. My husband came to my rescue in their car.

Coronation

A Celebration Fit For A King

This weekend we have a long weekend as we celebrate the Coronation of King Charles. No matter what you are doing over the weekend, it will be lovely seeing everyone come together. If you need some inspiration on how to celebrate I have a post sharing some lovely ideas and treats.

What I Am Loving

Osavi

Osavi

Osavi are a health and nutritional supplement company based in Yorkshire. The brand Osavi has just launched a new omega and cod liver oil range for adults and children in a range of tasty flavours as nearly 98% adults fall below the optimum daily levels of omega!

  • Daily Omega 1600 mg Omega 3 + D3 – Food supplement in the form of liquid obtained from wild pelagic fishes (mainly from anchovies) sourced from sustainable fishing practices. Contains essential unsaturated fatty acids (DHA and EPA) in the natural highly absorbable form of triglycerides (TG) and vitamin D in the form of cholecalciferol.
  • Daily Omega Kids 800 mg Omega 3 (liquid or drops) – Food supplement in the form of liquid obtained from wild pelagic fishes (mainly from anchovies) sourced from sustainable fishing practices. Contains essential unsaturated fatty acids (DHA and EPA) in the natural highly absorbable form of triglycerides (TG).
  • Norwegian Cod Liver Oil 1000 mg Omega 3 – Food supplement in the form of liquid obtained from wild Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) sourced from sustainable fishing practices. Contains high concentration of essential unsaturated fatty acids (DHA and EPA) in the highly absorbable form of triglycerides (TG).

There are times that we need supplements to help us keep fit and healthy. I have been trying these for a few weeks now, as like to give supplements a chance. I have noticed a difference and think as we get older we need to take more notice of our health and bodies.

Mash Direct Brunch Box

One thing that we all moan about is meal planning, and what to do for dinner that night. I know I do, and one part of this is peeling potatoes. Honestly, it is one of those things I do not like doing. I have found a solution that helps, with the Mash Direct Hamper. Whether it is a brunch, lunch or dinner this really has you covered. You receive –

  • Carrot & Parsnip Fries 2 x 300g – gently seasoned, ready for you to crisp up and enjoy.
  • Chilli Baby Bakes 2 x 370g – skin on baby potatoes seasoned with a chilli marinade and topped with a crispy crumb.
  • Crispy Vegetable Bakes (1 x 2 pack) – chunks of potato, broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, cabbage and parsnip coated in a crispy golden crumb.
  • Potato Cakes 250g (2 x 2 pack) – freshly baked cakes of diced potatoes, scallions and cheese with a hint of ground black pepper.
  • Potato Rosti 180g (2 x 2 pack) – potatoes gently shredded with onion lightly fried, ready for you to crisp up and enjoy.

The hamper costs £20 and really does add something different and easy to your meal time.

I hope you have had a good week and looking forward to another long weekend this week.
