Following on in my Meet The Blogger series, today I am introducing you to Stacey who blogs over at 4 Freckled Faces.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?

My name is Stacey and I oversee our family lifestyle blog and vlog. My husband (Dave) and I have 4 children. We like the outdoors. We like to explore. We like to travel. We enjoy sports, dancing, playing games, baking, cooking and eating!

WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING?

A few people had suggested that we do it, so we decided to give it a go!

HAS YOUR BLOG CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

It hasn’t yet, but I imagine it will as time goes on and the kids get older!

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FUNNIEST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?

Seeing the kids excitement when they write a post and when they see if people have read it, liked it and commented on it!

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR WORST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?

Trying to get my head around all terms and figuring out to get the posts seen, etc.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW BLOGGER STARTING OUT?

Write a few posts before hand a schedule them to he published. Have a plan….but try to enjoy it and not get stressed with it.

WHAT SURPRISED YOU ABOUT BLOGGING THAT YOU DID NOT REALISE BEFORE YOU STARTED?

How time-consuming it is.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
Play sports, dance, crafts, bake, rest and recoup!
IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY WHAT WOULD YOU DO FIRST?

Go on holiday!

  1. I think that truly is the most shocking thing . How much of your time it really takes. It can be the most amazing job. But it is, nevertheless, a job during much of the time you do stuff.

  2. It’s always nice to read about why bloggers started blogging and their experiences with it! I myself started blogging because my friends told me I had great knowledge to share, plus I strongly enjoy story telling. Thanks for sharing!

  3. It’s always fun getting the kids involved in the activities we like and I’m glad they’re getting excited in writing and seeing the engagement. Nice to meet you Stacey!

  4. I’ll have to agree that having a couple of blogs before launching and really planning yourself first is a great way to start. Many bloggers I’ve seen doing so have succeeded faster. I did none of that and it was until I sat down to draw a clear road map that I understood what I was doing.

    1. It is hard to know where to start at first, and there is so much to learn even after blogging for a few years you are still learning
