Like many of us, my days seem to get busier and time goes on. I love being busy with work, but it is also managing C’s appointments and the ongoing battle we have been having to get her education. Alongside that I have my parents who seem to think I can just sort everything out. This on top of normal daily life of cooking and cleaning, can lead me to not being able to switch off in the evenings.

How To Switch Off
It took me a while to get to this point, but I now treat my work as a 9-5 job and switch my laptop off at 5, and do not work at weekends. This works great most of the time, and means I have the evenings free.
Watching TV

I love my soaps and watch them every day, plus my guilty secret of Married At First Sight is back on. But to completely just zone out, I play games online. I especially like cards games, like the ones we all used to play when computers became a thing.
Online Games
I recently found a site that has what my kids call old school card games. These games take me back to my childhood, and fond memories of sitting playing solitaire with my grandparents or watching them play. The site has 8 games in total with my favourites being
Solitaire

The classic game that everyone knows and loves, it can get quite addictive trying to beat the cards and get them all out.
Golf Solitaire

One of my favourite games, I used to play when I was younger. You put all cards down and then use the base card and move cards higher or lower from the pack. Harder than normal solitaire
Tripeaks Solitaire

This is a game my granddad taught me when I was younger, alongside another solitaire game called clock which I have not played for years.
Reading

Another way, is to lose myself in a good book and read, there is nothing better than finding a book and wanting to read more and more.
