Health Benefits of Shilajit

If you’re a health buff, then you might have come across the magical superfood called shilajit. If you haven’t yet, then you are missing out on health benefits.

Shilajit has been a part of ayurvedic medicine for centuries. People from India and surrounding regions recognised the benefits of shilajit and it’s about time you do too!

Shilajit is nothing like the other superfoods you might be familiar with. It has a tar-like texture, sticky and gooey – a superfood you wouldn’t exactly call appetising.

But due to its high nutritional value, it’s no wonder that shilajit is becoming mainstream. Premium shilajit in Australia can be purchased conveniently online.

Brain function improves

basic brain function

The brain is the powerhouse of the human body and many seem to take it for granted, understandably so; it is responsible for a host of many bodily functions and we just know that it’s there.

Unfortunately, as we age, the brain may begin to show signs of ageing and to some people, may show signs of illnesses. One of the most debilitating illnesses one can experience is Alzheimer’s disease.

With the use of shilajit, those who are undergoing treatment for the disease can see an improvement in their developmental progress. The International Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease made a study of how shilajit was used to improve longevity. This could be the key to helping those who suffer alzheimer’s disease and other brain disorders.

Slows down the ageing process

The thought of ageing can be jarring to some and many dread it. However, it is a process that is inevitable. Shilajit is rich in fulvic acid, and anti inflammatory and antioxidant which can positively make an impact on your body.

The build up of free radicals in the body due to poor diet and exercise as well as stress can lead to premature ageing. Antioxidants help flush out the bad stuff so that your body cells can function the way they should.

Anaemia can be treated

anemia

Anaemia is a disorder that signals the body that you lack iron. Iron deficiency is a sign that you may be developing anaemia.

When someone is anaemic, this means that there aren’t enough red blood cells in the body. Symptoms of anaemia include fatigue, cold extremities such as the hands and feet, headache and irregular heartbeat.

Shilajit maybe your solution if you have anaemia. It is rich in humic acid which is responsible for possibly promoting iron levels in the body. Higher iron levels = more healthy blood cells!

Chronic fatigue syndrome

Chronic fatigue syndrome can affect every area of your life. Relationships, career, and even your own wellbeing may be at stake if you lack the energy levels to fulfill tasks or responsibilities.

Shilajit can help you in this area!

Cellular functions in the body are improved when you take shilajit. This, in turn, can boost energy levels, encouraging you to do the things you need to do.

Boosts heart health

The heart is an involuntary muscle in the body that pumps life giving blood to other organs. It is responsible for carrying vitamins and minerals to organs that need it and it filters or cleanses the blood as it makes its way back to the heart.

Taking shilajit can protect your heart from cardiac injury and a medical study done on animals has proven this to be true. Animals who took shilajit suffered from lesser cardiac injury compared to those who didn’t.

Shield your heart with shilajit and if you are already suffering from heart related issues, taking shilajit can help strengthen it!

  1. I’m yet another who has just NEVER heard of Shilajit before – and I do a lot of reading around the subject of chronic illness. Yes, where do you buy it? Online? Do Holland and Barrett stock it? How is it taken – what doseage and frequency? If there is anyone who knows please will you reply with some facts? There’s a lot of interest here but we just don’t know where to start!

  2. So do you take it as a pill? I honestly haven’t heard of it or seen it advertise everywhere. I might need to look into it because after we caught Covid we have all been experiencing serious fatigue

    1. I am not sure how you take it, as you know my Daughter suffers with chronic illness and there are supplements that can help with the fatigue
