We made it into 2025 and although it seems ages ago I wrote my last round up post in 2024. In some ways it has flown by. Happy New Year 2025 to you all and a little update on what has been happening.

Health
As you know C had a 24 hour heart monitor fitted. I did end up contacting our Drs on Tuesday as C was having pain as well with her palpitations. We had a telephone call which was a little later than scheduled. Our Dr had finally got hold of the results.
The good news is her heart is fine, but her heart beat is high even averaging between her lowest to highest is high, She has been referred to cardiology now, so another wait. Our Dr has put her on a low dose beta blocker to help with her hear rate.
Yesterday evening, C announced she was having hallucinations. This was an uncommon side effect. So I have spend the morning at the Drs with her and she is now on a different medication. Hopefully these will work with her better.
Budgies
Willow is now 7 weeks old and loving life in the big cage with the others. She definitely has her mums spirit and although she is the youngest and smallest she certainly does not let that stop her.
The other day, I topped up their food bowls, they have one bowl with seed and the other with pellets (apparently these are better for them). They all love the seed but Willow went and sat in the bowl and would not let any of he others near it. We took it out in the end and calm took over again.
Saying this she gets on great with all the others, but she is a huge character
That’s About It
We saw the grandkids the Monday before Christmas which was lovely. As Father Christmas asked us to bring our presents to them. Apart from a night away last Friday with my husband, which is our present to each other. Where we can just relax after all the build up to Christmas, We have not done anything, just relaxed which has been lovely. I even stayed away from my laptop until today which is definitely what I needed.

Happy New Year. Honestly Willow is so funny she is so fiesty and will fight all the others away if the food bowls are in holders on the side of the cage and will sit herself in the bowls to eat. But she is such a cutie and so funny

Happy New year – we did know that this would be the result the only thing kept me going is her heart is fine She is now on the second medication for the beta blockers which hopefully will be ok
