Dolma Vegan & Cruelty Free Fragrance Review

One thing I love is perfume – I have daytime fragrances and fragrances I wear when on a night out. I learnt over the years that price does not matter in a fragrance. You choose one based on how well the fragrance works with you and your skin. I have tried some that smell amazing in the bottle and disgusting when I have tried to wear it. This is because a perfume doesn’t smell the same on every person. Read on for my Dolma Vegan & Cruelty Free Fragrance Review.

Over the years I have become much more conscious of the products I buy and use. Especially after learning some of the top brands test their products on animals. That changed my attitude and encouraged me to make better choices when it came to my beauty care. Recently I was contacted by Dolma vegan, cruelty-free fragrances, asking if I would like to review their products.

About Dolma

Dolma fragrances offer 100% vegan and cruelty-free fragrances for people of all genders. Their fragrances contain no parabens, palm oil or phthalates. All ingredients are sustainably and ethically sourced to the highest safety regulations. Making sure they are safe for animals and the environment.

Perfume Discovery Set

As I have mentioned before, what a fragrances smells like in the bottle, to how it reacts with your skin can be totally different. Which is why I love trying fragrances at home and wearing them for a while. I chose the Dolma Women’s Discovery Set, which consists of twelve different fragrances in 1.8ml bottles. So you can try them at home to see what full bottle you prefer before you invest the money. This gives you a chance to test drive a scent so to speak.

Here is what you will find inside the Discovery Set:

  1. Light Bloom – A citrusy floral fragrance with top notes of sweet orange and middle notes of white florals like magnolia, lily of the valley and freesia.
  2. Midnight Velvet – An elegant Asian woody scent with saffron and tonka to spice it up.
  3. Sun Joy – A woody base opens up to fresh notes of citrus, palm, rose and freesia perfect to bring your day some joy.
  4. First Rain – A strong base of mossy woods transports you to the forest with whispers of jasmine and mint.
  5. Amethyst Mist – With notes of cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver decorated by white floral accents of ylang-ylang and heliotrope for those who like an earthy fragrance.
  6. Anahita – This has peach and lemon tones that lead to a white floral heart of carnation and ylang-ylang. Spicy notes mingle with woody notes of sandalwood and cypress.
  7. Andromeda – An earthy and woody scent with notes of jasmine and deep shades of amber and vegan musk.
  8. Calista – Fresh and citrusy with bergamot and lemon, along with a rich bouquet of jasmine, geranium and ylang-ylang. With woody base notes.
  9. Compassion – Ylang-ylang takes the lead with light tones of lemon and ginger and a touch of amber.
  10. Cushi B – A floral fragrance with a deep base of patchouli and a hint of cardamom and cinnamon, which accentuate tones of lime and orange.
  11. Sarabande – Assertive woody scents, earthy patchouli and soft amber with the romantic scent of rose.
  12. Veganmusk – This has soft notes of jasmine and lily with touches of sandalwood on a bed of (vegan) honey and musk.

My Opinion

I love fragrances and having tried these they smell amazing. All have worked well with my skin and are perfect for daytime wear or evening wear. I have to say those of a certain age will remember White Musk in the 80’s being the fragrance to wear. The Veganmusk took me straight back to that era of the perfume I wore all the time.

Life In A Break Down

  1. My first perfumes were White Musk and Dewberry by The Body Shop and my first ‘grown up’ perfume was Dior ‘Poison’.

  2. I still love Ysatis, one of my all time favourites since my teens, however haven’t w0rn it for the last 20+ years as husband hates it 🙁

  3. My first proper perfume was Chanel No 5 that my boyfriend gave me for Christmas – I knew it was expensive so only wore it when out with him!

  4. Oh, my, it was sooooo long ago, I can’t remember the name of the perfume! I just remember it being in a beautiful frosted glass bottle and that the fragrance was light and quite sweet.

  5. Mine was poison when I was younger. The Original purple one. You either loved it or hated it I found. I felt quite powerful and dark wearing my poison. ♥

  6. Exclamation for me. Although I didn’t try many others. I think I was gifted it, so wore what I got, lol. Now I have a huge collection. Thanks for the lovely comp x

  7. I used to wear Marc Jacobs, Daisy which was a light, summery fragrance. I don’t feel particularly light or summery at the moment though!

  8. How far do you want to go back? My first “fragrance” was taking all the petals off my mum’s precious rose bushes and mashing them with water 🤣

  9. So? Used to love their scents. Just bought my 2 girls a little set of them each for Christmas and I must say I’m partial to a spritz of the youngest’s Candyfloss So? myself 🙂

  10. Poison Dior when I was a teenager I remember loving it. Would be interesting to know if I still like it but I’m not even sure they still make it

  11. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue has been my perfume for over 10 years now and I am always hesitant to even try anything else! I should experiment more really!

  12. CK One launched just as I was a teenager getting into perfume so that was the first scent that defined a time in my life. Not sure I’d still like it, I guess it’s time to revisit it.

  13. Jean Paul gaultier classique, it still is now but when I was a teen the body shop used to do this dewberry spray and it was lush. Its discontinued now but I was trying to find it a few weeks ago and theres some on ebay under vintage perfumes at stupid prices lol.

  14. Fabulous website very eye catching Such an Amazing giveaway 🙏 all done Merry Christmas 🎄 and goodluck to everyone

  15. Roma by Laura Biagotti, I thought I was so sophisticated at the time. Special shout out for Body Shop Dewberry as well.

  16. Georgio Beverly Hills. Amazingly, it is still available. I can probably blame my adult love of all things fragrant on that youthful perfume!

  17. My go to perfume when I was young was actually Dewberry from the body shop, so sad they don’t do it anymore

  18. My nana bought me sun by jill sanders once when she went on holiday and we couldnt find it for years after, when we did i was so happy and it became my fave perfume, now i wear it alot and it always feels like warm hug from my nan

  19. I used to love Far and Away which is a perfume from Avon and everytime I smell it, it takes me right back
