Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 22/06/2022

I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather we are currently having. I am now back from a very hot and sunny week in the South of France. It is lovely going away, and although I did pack my laptop and did a little bit of work while away. I still came home to a lot to catch up on. But firstly, time for a catch up in my weekly round up post Diary of a Menopausal Mum.

Health

health
C is still having her weekly B12 injections, and after a chat yesterday, she received a Mum lecture about taking her other supplements. She keeps forgetting to take them, butt If I do ask her, I get a stroppy yes. She also had her three monthly GON injections yesterday for her migraines. He put them in a slightly different area. They have to put pressure on the back of the head to see where it is more tender, as that is the area they inject. Her head is a lot more tender and painful than normal. So after getting me up early and ready to take her to her course. We agreed to contact her tutor and work from home.

Education

education
As you are aware from previous ongoing posts, education has been a battle since C’s illness begun. Last week, I received the final draft of her EHCP and another supporting form. Which I agreed and this has now been sent to the co-ordinator who is waiting for it to be given the go ahead to send to the college for reconsideration of her withdrawn offer. I am feeling pretty confident, as while away C received an email, about a day at college for next week. After a lot of emails, also because this was a day she was due to sit an exam. It was agreed by all parties she should accept and go. Her exam has been rearranged for the following week.

What I have been loving

butterfly garden

One thing I love, buying toys and presents for my grand kids. When I visited them a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned to their Mum about the Butterfly Garden. Apparently, one of their friends have one, and my granddaughter loves it.

The Butterfly Garden Kit comes supplied with a voucher to order live caterpillars. Giving kids a fun and educational gift. As they watch the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. The Live Butterfly kit includes –

  • Pop-up, reusable 30cm tall mesh Butterfly Garden habitat perfect for butterfly viewing!
  • Feeding Pipette
  • Complete Instructions
  • Certificate for live caterpillars, with free P&P

The live caterpillars are only sent out between March and mid September, and no additional cost is incurred as it is already paid when purchasing your kit.

I am so excited to see the regular updates from my granddaughter. I remember when I was slightly older than her, keeping a caterpillar and feeding it. Watching it transform into a cocoon and then turn into a butterfly. I was always updating my teacher, who asked me to take it into school so the class could also watch it.

Revive Collagen

revive collagen

As we age, our body changes and with that so does our skin. I was recently asked if I would like to review Revive Collagen. Which is a game changing beauty brand that states it delivers results for women of all ages. As our body ages, our natural collagen levels depletes. This results in our skin loosening and where we find our wrinkles getting more obvious.

Revive Collagen in a liquid collagen that you take once a daily. With the promise of an absorption rate of 90-95%. Which is much higher than collagen tablets which give a 30-40% absorption rate.

As my skin needs all the help it can get, I was sent a pack and took it once a day. I told no one I was taking this just to see if anyone would notice. I did notice a difference myself, but it was only when friends commented on how well I was looking. I really took notice. This is one product I would give 10 out of 10 for.

A Little Disaster

a disaster

When we returned from our holiday on Sunday, my husband left me with the cases, while he went to get the car. He came back and greeted me with a can of coke had exploded. Yes we had left a can in the car, and it had gone everywhere.

We loaded the car, and as we needed petrol, I dealt with that while my husband cleaned up the car best he could with wet wipes. As you will have seen from previous posts, I use a dropless car cleaning service, which is great as you book online for a time that is convenient for you. I do have a link which you can use to get £10 off your first booking, I also get £10 off my next booking. Just head to dropless and use code smell.maker.joint.

Hope you are all having a good week
