Aqua Wipes Giveaway

From the moment we hold our newborns in our arms. We make a promise to them that we will always be there for them, keep them safe and healthy. That we will do the best we can for them, which is why I have teamed up with Aqua Wipes Plastic Free and Biodegradable Baby Wipes to bring you an amazing giveaway.

About Aqua Wipes

After their daughter began having problems with eczema when she was very young. Starting in small patches and then spreading over her whole body. The makers of Aqua Wipes, faced many appointments with consultants and dermatologist. Which resulted in their daughter having to sleep each night in an impregnated bandaged body suit, in a bid to ease the itching, pain and discomfort.

As parents, it is heartbreaking to see our children suffer, especially at such a young age. Having to keep chemicals to a bare minimum, they started to check labels. This resulted in finding that wipes contain 15 or more chemicals, and this was the one product that was in contact with her skin.

My Thoughts on Aqua Wipes

As a Mum and a Nanny, the safety of my children and grandchildren is important to me. When my children were young, we did not have these wipes. I know these will be gratefully received and used on my granddaughters.

It shows we do not need fancy fragrances, with products ladened with chemicals. When I was young our parents used to take a wet flannel in a bag. A babies skin is so delicate, we need to look at what we are using. I have tried the wipes and they do everything a fancy wipe does, except it is a lot kinder to the skin.

  1. It was different with each child, obviously my first I needed so much support as I had no idea what I was doing, but with the others not so much, just plenty of wipes and clean clothes for baby!

  2. I found the help from my own Mother invaluable, and also making time to meet up with other Mums and Babies

  3. Having no family and no friends with babies, I found the internet to be a great help. No matter the time of day there was always somebody with a friendly ear to listen and give wise helpful advice.

  4. I took up people’s offers of help. If people wanted to look after the baby, I would use the time to cook or catch a nap.

  5. Batch cooking helped , as did being prepared and having nappy changing stuff & a couple changes of clothes together in one place within easy reach

  6. Having a few pram bags packed at a time so I could just grab one when needed without having to worry about refilling it as soon as I got home.

  7. trust your instincts if it doesn’t feel right to leave your baby to cry then don’t pick her up!

  8. A few of my mates batch cooked for me and put the meals in to Tupperware for me to freeze. Lifesaver as I was a single mum from day dot and we went in to lockdown 3 weeks after my girl was born and I had no one then!

  9. I found the most helpful thing was taking time out for myself when baby was sleeping, leaving the housework and allowing myself ten minutes.

  10. I had a c-section and found a picker-upper / grabber stick to be very helpful. As well as not having to bend down, I could reach a lot of things while sitting holding my sleeping baby.

  11. I found speaking to other mums so helpful! They all gave me advice, told me about their experiences and made me feel less alone!

  12. Batch cooking and freezing meals for us when baby was newborn. Then batch cooking nutritious baby food once weaning.

  13. I think not putting too much pressure on yourself to ‘do everything’, is the biggest piece of advice I can give. Take it all one step at a time 🙂

  14. I found pre-made meals very helpful, I didn’t always have time to cook from scratch so being able to grab something from the freezer and put straight in the oven was handy.

  15. I’m expecting my first baby in a few weeks but I think having my mum nearby to help with cleaning, cooking etc. will be very helpful once my partner goes back to work!

  16. Asking for help! Something I was afraid to do incase people thought I wasn’t a good enough Mum

  17. Help holding baby for a while so I could make dinner and clean! I was breastfeeding so felt like I had baby attached to me constantly and it was very hard for a long time in all honesty.

  18. Having my mum just up the road and on the other end of the phone, at any time to offer support and help when needed.

  19. Definitely disposable nappies but I then swapped to the new recyclable ones that you could wash.

  20. I was really struggling and had nobody to help me, then a lady my husband knew who was a mum of five came to see me and in that afternoon gave me more practical advice than anyone else.

  21. keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
    ………………………………………………………………….

  22. Having family willing to look after the baby once a week at night so I could get one decent night’s sleep.

  23. When I had a newborn the most useful thing was getting breastfeeding help. Without them teaching me I don’t think I would have ever got my son to latch right. Breastfeeding shouldn’t hurt for a long period of time and I never knew that it’s not just the nipple that goes into their mouth but the breast itself as well. After receiving help breastfeeding was a lot easier and a lot less painful

  24. I don’t have children but I would love to enter so that I can send them to the families that need them in Ukraine

  25. i found having a changing mat and all the accessories needed in a box to hand upstairs and downstairs handy

  26. Wipes that came out of the packet one at a time, not 40 at once. Or worse still, packets you can’t open, mid-poonami!

  27. When I just had the one child, the advice “sleep when your baby sleeps” is so important!
With my twins, their bouncy chairs were invaluable!

  28. To remember that the newborn stage doesn’t last forever – it felt so long while I was in it though. People saying it’s just a short part of their lives was so true.

  29. I found it useful talking to other mums who had babies as they had more experience then me
