We are nearly at the weekend, how has your week been? As you will know I do a weekly round up post in my Diary of a menopausal Mum series. Usually going live on a Friday, but am changing things this year to a Thursday. My last weekly round up is where I chat about everything that has gone on in the past week, since my last post. So what has been happening this week? Read on to find out how mine was in my Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 13/01/2021

Health

I finally got my biopsy results, which has come back all clear. So, now I am now waiting on a referral to a dermatologist to see if they can work out what is going on.
C had an appointment with our GP again on the phone, she questioned putting through another referral marked urgent to Gastro, but has done it. She keeps going down the IBS route with C, and pushing aside our concerns about how this is coming across the same as 2 years ago when she was admitted to hospital with a virus attacking her organs. I have suffered with IBS most of my life, and know others and not one of her symptoms match how IBS comes through. She has prescribed medication which is doing nothing for her but have been told she needs to keep taking it. So still a matter of waiting.
Work

I mentioned last week that I was moving my hosts to a new one. The migration took place on Monday and I finally got my site back for me to work on late Tuesday afternoon. I spent most of the day yesterday sorting back end stuff. Which is why I have been fairly quiet on the work front this week.
I have been busy arranging giveaways and working on my Valentines Day Gift Guide, so watch out for those coming through.
Kids

I can honestly say, C is the easiest one, the elder two are grown men now. Today I woke up at 8 to missed calls and screen shots between the boys. I just replied too early for me to deal with this.
There is a lot going on, and I would not even know where to start to explain, but they cause me so much stress and worry. They do not get easier as they grow older.
How has your week been? Hopefully less stressful than me.

Being a mum is stressful and agree on them getting older and it getting harder!
It is stressful, my middle one seems to be the one who knows how to push my buttons even though he no longer lives with us and has kids of his own. That boy will never change
That’s great that your results were clear. Oh goodness dont say that, my son is 14 and I thought he was getting easier now haha. My daughter is 7 and at the moment for me she is the harder one. Looking forward to the Valentine’s Gift Guide
Honestly I have steered clear of the eldest for a week now and it has been great, my daughter was a nightmare at 7 but when she became ill at 11 everything changed. I need to start working on my Valentines gift guide and get it live
So sorry about all the stress. It’s never ending at the minute isn’t it . Hope you managed to get a bit of a relaxed weekend to recuperate
Thank you, it is constant at the moment, we did have a lovely weekend although that did not go to plan
Sounds like you had a stressful week,i’m having tests at the mo,to see if i’m Perimenopausal x
It was a very stressful week, but luckily could switch off over the weekend, good luck with your tests
Sorry to hear the older kids are causing you stress and your worries about C and her health. It’s good your biopsy came up clear, but hard as you still don’t know what’s wrong x
Honestly, it is the eldest really and the middle one is ok at the moment, still nothihg on when C will be seen, but is a relief my biopsies came back clear just need to know what is wromg
Hope you get somewhere with the gastro with C. Nothing worse than feeling you aren’t being heard by your GP. Fingers crossed you get some answers soon!
I am hoping we hear something more positive this week, I could not get the GP to understand that although it could be IBS it was not looking as it is from this end and 3 phone appointments and not even one face to face where she could examin her
Sorry to hear your boys are causing you stress, mine always come back to mum when they have a problem. Fingers crossed they manage to get to the bottom of what is making C poorly
They do always come to Mum don’t they, I am still convinced it is grumbling appendix but hopefully we will get an appointment soon
Glad your result came back clear but hope dermatology can help you. Poor C, it’s so frustrating when doctors just don’t listen.
I’m still in the early stages of setting up my blog, even though it’s live I’ve still got things I need to do to it.
I’ve had a hectic week at work so looking forward to the weekend!
It is frustrating and hopefully her new appointment will come back soon as can not afford to go private again which we have done. There is always something to do with the blog, I migrated mine this week to a new host and still trying to sort little things that has come to light. Hope your weekend is more relaxed.
You definitely sound like you have your hands full with everything that is going on! Stressful week for me too, I know they say things come in 3’s but this week has been more like the 300’s!
It sounds like we have had similar weeks, I have the weekend off as away with friends for my husbands birthday and then looking forward to a better week. I hope your week doesn’t get any worse and next week is better all round x
Sorry to hear you’ve had a stressful week – I really hope that next week is better and calmer 🙂
Thank you x
