Air Fryer Bread Pudding

As you will know, I love my air fryer and apart from the normal things we all love to use them for. I do like to try new recipes. My air fryer baked cheesecake is still a hit in our house. As is my are my cheese scones which C has requested for lunch today. Today I am sharing a lovely recipe I found for airy fryer bread pudding.

Whilst on Facebook, I came across a recipe for bread pudding, this is different to bread and butter pudding. This is something I have loved as long as I can remember. I have never made it before, and you do not see it very often in bakers. So I had to give it a try.

airfyer bread pudding

Table of Contents

Ingredients

400g of white bread

600ml of milk

500g of mixed fruit – I preferred to use raisins

100g caster sugar

50g self raising flour

1 and half tablespoons of mixed all spice

2 eggs beaten

100g melted butter

How To Make

  • In a large bowl tear the bread into small pieces
  • Add the milk and leave it to soak for 10 minutes
  • Once the bread has been soaking. mush together into a paste consistency. Do not worry if it seems too wet this is ok
  • Stir in the fruit of your choice, sugar, flour, mixed spice, eggs and melted butter and mix together
  • Pour into a tray that fits your air fryer. I used a 7″ spring lock tin, and sprinkle with sugar. This does make a large batch, so I did mine in two batches.
  • Place in a pre-heated air fryer at 150 for 70 minutes
freshly baked

I was so excited to try this, in fact I could not wait for it to cool down, and got my Mum involved in trying it with me. I will say once it had cooled completely it tastes just like it should.

This is something, that I will be making in the future. It is so quick and easy and the taste brings back so many happy memories.

I have always loved baking, and now I am experimenting in the air fryer am finding a new love of baking. It just makes things so much quicker. Although I have not been brave enough to make bread or cakes in mine yet. But this is something I do know I will do at some stage.

What have you been making in yours?

I love bread and butter pudding!! My husband and kids are a bit funny with raisins so for us, it tends to be chocolate chip. But you have to try making it with croissants one day. Sometimes I see croissants in the reduction aisle in the supermarket and I will grab and a few packets to make it. Sooooo good. Saves on the buttering of the bread too

Haha. You’re just my husband. He hates raisins in most stuff but in bread and butter pudding, it’s okay. He says it’s because he doesn’t have to slice it and look at it all clumped together

The person who I don’t understand is my father in law who says he doesn’t eat pork but sausage rolls and meatballs with pork in it don’t count. Basically if it’s processed it’s fine, haha

My daughter does not like pork, tried so many ways, but she does eat pork sausages, sausage rolls, bacon if no fatty bits on it and sometimes ham. My grandma never ate pork either so I do think there is something in it
