Seasonal Self-Care That Isn’t Just Bubble Baths

Today is Day 6 of the Blogtober 2025 challenge. The topic today is Seasonal Self-Care That Isn’t Just Bubble Baths.

This is something we all need to remember and look at. That we do need a bit of self care and time out. A bit of me time always helps me.

When we hear “self-care,” it’s easy to think of candles, face masks, and bubble baths. Those are great, but real seasonal self-care often looks a little less Instagram-perfect and a lot more grounded in what your mind and body need as the world shifts around you.

Here are some ways to care for yourself this season—no bath bombs required.

Adjust Your Sleep Habits

With the days are getting shorter, our energy levels change. Not forgetting the clocks change at the end of this month making the daylight hours even less.

  • Try to wind down a little earlier – dim the lights so they are not quite so harsh
  • On those dark mornings – have a hot drink and just enjoy it while your mind and body wakes up

Eat Seasonal Foods

Autumn Foods

Self-care can be as simple as eating what is fresh and comforting. I do love my comfort food once the season and weather changes. This will help you through the new season

A Physical and Digital De-Clutter

Nature changes through the seasons. As Autumn comes bounding in we only have to look around at the leaves fallen to the fallen from the trees. Nature has it right, get rid of the old

  • Sort out your wardrobe and drawers – put away your Summer clothes and get out your comfortable warm clothes
  • Sort out clothes you will no longer wear and donate to charity
  • Sort out those messy drawers so you can find things easily

Get Outside Daily

Go For A Walk

This is something dog owners do every day anyway. No matter what the weather our furbabies still need that walk. It is still nice to wrap up warm and go for a walk

  • Grab your family or friends and go and explore nature
  • If going on your own listen to a podcast or your favourite music

Of course after all this there will still be that time to have that soak in a bubble bath.

  1. We have been doing a lot of nature walks, just soaking in all the sunlight and it’s amazing. I feel that it has truly made a difference in my wellbeing.

  2. Physical decluttering is top of my list at the moment. I’ve donated loads to the charity shop and will have more to take soon. I am loving the decluttered look, it’s far more inviting.

    1. Physical decluttering is very therapeutic my husband was the one for doing this. I do need to do this but doing little bits rather than a huge declutter

  3. I’m really glad I found this. Bubble baths are the poster child of self-care, but the thing is… I actually don’t like them. LOL

  4. We try to eat seasonal food as often as possible for several reasons, especially because it is both tasty and fresh.
