One thing I have talked about before, and keep going on about to my poor husband is my kitchen. I just do not like it any more. There is nothing wrong with it and I love the space we have to work and the cupboard space. It is fairly old now but the high gloss cupboard doors still look like new. I have been looking at Easy Solutions For A New Kitchen.
Ideally, I would love a total kitchen make over and have an Island with the hob and work space in the middle. I have already been told why I can not have the sink in the Island. But as we have just totally remodelled our bathroom and bedroom, this project will have to be put on hold for a while.

How Can You Update A Kitchen
Replace Worktops
One way you can update a kitchen and transform it by working with what you have is by replacing your kitchen worktops. This really would make a huge difference to your kitchen and give it a new lease of life. Make sure you look into factors for replacing before taking out your old worktop.
There are so many options to choose from including
- Laminate
- Solid Wood
- Quartz
For me I would love a Granite worktop, and have looked at these before. I love the colours and they look amazing. As granite worktops are more expensive this is definitely going to have to wait until my kitchen is transformed as it is more expensive so would want to get the most use from it.
Paint Cupboard Doors
Another way you can update your kitchen, is by painting the kitchen doors. This will give them a whole new lease of life and is a quick way to update your kitchen. You can also change the fittings and give your cupboards and drawers new handles.
Accessories
A very quick way of transforming your kitchen is by changing those items we have on show such as
- Kettle
- Microwave
- Food Mixer
- Jars
You can colour co-ordinate them to your current theme.
