Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 64

Here we are at Tuesday again, you will know by now that it is the day for my Life In A Lockdown Linky post.  This is a linky where myself and other bloggers have been posting every week since lockdown first began.  Answering set questions of how we found the past week.

It is lovely looking back on how different things were and how we all adapted to lockdown life, and then slowly coming out of lockdown.

If you want to take part in the linky the questions are

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

I am very up and down at the moment.  I mentioned last week that C was suffering with her TMJ, her lower jaw is completely out of line, and is in constant pain and discomfort.  Nothing I can do helps, luckily I have managed to get her an appointment privately for this Friday.  Hopefully, they can do something to help her.

It is a nightmare trying to find something for her to eat, and sometimes even drink due to the pain.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Honestly, it has mostly been a week I want to forget I have had dramas to deal with over all 3 of my kids.  It was like they were in a relay with each other.

I had a lovely night away last Thursday, where I was reviewing Hilton Hotels Wellness Room.  There will be a review coming for this soon, plus a chance to win a night in the wellness room.

My friend messaged me yesterday morning to see if I was free for a coffee and catch up.  It has been ages since we last saw each other and was lovely to get out and do something normal.

3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

Honestly, this past week my head has been all over the place, I have read a few but my mind is totally blank

4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?

Nothing much just a few meet ups with friends and family, keeping to the current rules

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)

Nothing although more because I have been away

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My Mum she has been my rock

7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?

Never take life for granted, be grateful for the little things

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Keep on going, take one day at a time and we will get through this

Thank you to

Doing great! Thankfully we aren’t in a lockdown state anymore – I’m surprised anyone is, really.

Poor C. I really hope the appointment goes well. Have you tried giving her yogurts – obviously without bits in it. It should go up a straw quite easily if it is a smooth one.

Ah, I’m so sorry to hear that C is not doing so well at the moment. It’s crushing to feel so helpless. I’m loving the sound of your night away – definitely going to keep my eyes out for the chance to win that wellness room stay x

I can’t even imagine what it is like for C to have her jaw like that. I am glad you managed to get an appointment and I really hope they can help somehow.

She is doing ok, she just takes everything in her stride that is thrown at her, she heard all my arguments with our GP and knows I am doing all I can. We have found what is easier for her to eat which helps and she loves teasing me by telling me the sounds and what it feels like which she knows I can’t stand

We did and I needed the break to switch off, it is a nightmare I am waiting to see what the consultant says on Friday and then putting in a complaint, you honestly would not believe the conversations I had with him

The wellness room sounds really great. I could really do with a night away from this mad house

Sounds like you’ve had a nightmare of a week, but least you managed to get a wee break! Onwards and upwards and try and stay positive xx

I’ve also had one of those weeks where my 3 children seem to be taking it in turns to be difficult. Hope C’s appointment goes well, must be agonising and so difficult that you can’t help them.

My mind has also been everywhere, I think that might be because of the switches in the weather. I hope this upcoming week is much better.

I’m glad you managed to get an appointment for C. It’s so hard getting any medical or dental appointments at the moment.

It is a nightmare at the moment, but had a great appointment even if it did make me feel a little wobbly when I saw what her jaw is actually
      doing
