I have always had a fascination for essential oils, I remember years ago turning to them when I was suffering with a medical condition, and traditional medication was not working. As I read more and more about essential oils the more interested I was in them.
For some reason, I let my new knowledge slip away, work and family life just got in the way of everything. Which is a shame as I do believe they offer such great benefits.
I have recently started to look into essential oils again, after having a chat with a friend over C’s chronic illness and her current abdominal pains. She is on powerful medication, that we are not really happy about and want to look at alternative safer ways to help her.
When Young Living contacted me offering a review on their products I said yes straight away, to bring back my long-lost love of essential oils and their benefits.
About Young Living

Gary had already discovered the incredible power of essential oils, but due to the quality of essential oils he had been unable to fully harness their potential. Mary had previous experience in the direct selling industry enabled them to fulfil their vision and establish a business sharing pure essential oils with the world.

As I said earlier I used to have a fascination for essential oils and their benefits many years ago. It is something I have been thinking about for C and helping her cope with her illness.
I have used the diffuser in most rooms around the house, including our bedrooms. C thought I had gone mad and lost the plot when I walked in with the diffuser and set it up adding a few drops of Lavender oil and switching the unit on. I told her to trust me and go with it. She is 16 and bedbound and suffers with her sleeping due to pain etc, she just gave me a look as if to say Mum has gone mad again.
We tried the Lavender oil for a few nights and she did agree it helped. So we tried the stress away next and found it also helped.
Moving away from prescription medication
I do not like taking prescription medicine, and have C ill for 5 years and her being on powerful medication all this time. It has been hard for us having to try different medicines and find ones that will help her. Everytime we see her Consultant I am asking if we can take her off them yet.
Natural oil and products can be so beneficial, especially for an illness where the medication is helping relieve symptoms and not treating, it is a no brainer.
Young Living have a huge selection of essential oils, blended oils and roll ons. I am going to purchase more unfortunately, I can not order them all, but will be trying new ones to see if their benefits will help C, plus keep my home with a nice relaxed aroma.
Have you used essential oils before? What do you use them for or do you have any tips for us you would like to share?
