For Day 11 of Blogtober 2025 the prompt is What I Would Harvest If I Had a Farm. Now everyone who knows me, will say I am not a gardener. I do love a lovely well kept garden, along with home grown produce.
In a twist to what a normal farm would grow, I a going on a different route.
Table of Contents
I Would Harvest Gratitude
There would be rows of gratitude for as far as the eye can see. The kind that grows quietly—through ordinary mornings, warm cups of tea, and long exhale moments. Gratitude for what’s here, right now.
I Would Harvest Slowness

Slowing down as a reminder that not everything ripens on our schedule. Some things need time, sunlight, and stillness. I would pick slowness by the basketful and share it freely with everyone rushing by.
I Would Harvest Connection
By nourishing the connections we make throughout the day. The people who you say hello to in the street. Or those you chat to in the supermarket queue. There is always something special about connecting with people from those we love to those who we have never met before.
I Would Harvest Nourishment

As I said above I do love home grown produce, I just can not grow it. Imagine real food pulled from the ground. Carrots still dusted with soil. Tomatoes warm from the sun. Food that feeds the body and the soul. If like me you do not grow your own. You can always visit a local farm shop
I Would Harvest Joy

The small kind of joy, the kind that shows up when the first sprout pushes through, or when the air smells like rain. The kind you don’t force, just notice.
If I was in charge of my garden, it would have weeds and mess and mornings when nothing seems to grow. But maybe that’s part of the harvest, too—the learning, the letting go, the beauty in imperfection. Even without a garden, we are all growing something.

would be a dream to harvest daily- brings so much joy
There are ways to be able to harvest every day depending on how you look at it
I love this! I’m not good at gardening at all, but I would love to have a grass lawn that is just grass rather than dandelions and moss!
We have a big lawn and I do love looking out on a nice garden
Such a lovely idea. I love growing but would have a big patch which could just grow wild.
I do love the wildflower patches you see around a lot more now
I LOOOOOOVE THESE….I was thinking about produce…love it…I would do the same. I would mostly harvest connections and compassion. Amazing post.
I really could not write about produce as I just do not like gardening in any way. So thought I would go down a different route
aww that’s lovely, I’d spend time in your garden for sure
You are always welcome
