Any parent will tell you, that from the minute you wake up your mind starts work with what your day is going to be like. For me, it is waking C and seeing if she needs anything, at the moment we are coming of one lot of her medication and starting a new one. She is struggling with this, so lots of rest and quiet times is needed.
When you get to the end of the day, do you find your mind is still buzzing from what you have done, what you need to do. Making mental lists of what you need to do tomorrow.
One thing I have learnt is I need to switch off and unwind in the evening, once dinner has been done that is my down time.
1. Coffee and catch up
The first thing I do, is make a coffee and then catch up with family and friends either via video calls or messages. Also looking through social media to catch up on what has been going on all day.
I love my soaps and it is the one thing I never miss, they are my guilty pleasure. I can sit and watch and emerse myself into the dramas of soap land. Following the dramas that are currently going on.
3. Me time
One of the things I look forward to is my shower, where I wash away the day and pamper myself with my lotions and potions and my natural skincare routine.
4. Play games
I play online games every day, they make sure I totally switch off and have something else to concentrate on. I have just found a great site where you can play games for free at plays.org. For me I only play free games as it is my way of totally switching off and concentrating on something else. They have a huge range of games to suite every ones tastes. After going through most of the games the two I go back to is –
Frogtastic – if you remember the game Zuma this is the same. Your frog shoots out coloured balls that you have to match up with 3 or more. I start off ok, but then one mistake and with the chain getting nearer the end I tend to panic and make mistakes. I have got up to level 8 so far and determined to get further. You can also opt to restart at the beginning, or it saves your level so you can carry on when you next play the game.
Supermarket – I used to love playing simulation games, and this one got me hooked. It gets quite fast paced as you try to serve the customers and keep shelves stacked up. Plus ordering new supplies and adding new ranges to your store. It gets madder when you open the second checkout and you are get even busier. Again you can play from the start or pick up the game where you left off.
