Today is Day 11 of Blogtober 2026 and my prompt for today is Something That Always Makes Me Feel Cosy.
I could go for my normal go to of
- Hot Drink – especially coffee or hot chocolate
- My Slippers
- Cosy Socks
- Warm Pyjamas
As much as these are all ways that do make me feel cosy and relaxed. You can only do these at certain times of the year. Well for me it is as I get too hot other times of the year.

What Makes Me Feel Cosy All Year Through?

No matter what time of the year it is, whether it is hot, cold or in between. Clean bedding is always my cosy place.
There is nothing nicer than getting into a freshly made bed. Even better if you can have a lie in the following morning before getting up to face the day.
My bed is my cosy place , and as much as I look forward to my bed time. I do look forward to it much more when I have changed my bedding and it smells all clean and fresh.
When Autumn Arrives
Once Autumn has arrived I find the nights where I am warm or get too hot totally disappear. Meaning I can get snugly under my duvet and stay warm.
- The nights are much cooler
- Hearing the wind and rain outside
- Waking up and not having to rush around in the cold dark mornings
My bed is my sanctuary, my place where I can shut the door and everyone out and just be alone. Well never alone now since getting Biscuit, but he loves my bed as well and he makes such a great little cuddle companion. Although he seems like Velcro and somehow something so small takes up so much room.
What is something that makes you feel cosy?

I love getting in from work, shutting the curtains and getting my pyjamas straight on!
It is the best feeling in the world
I agree — this is a wonderful list.
I think I have to agree. Although my sofa is cosy too.
My sofa is cosy as well but I rarely sit in there at the moment
It’s a toss up between my bed and my sofa.
As time has gone on, I’ve tended to spend more money on nice quality bedding with cosy additions for winter. Sleep is really important for brain health so it’s a good investment.
After a busy day, I do like a really squishy, comfy sofa to crash out on, too!
As much as I love my sofa, I am not spending much time there at the moment as Biscuit is a nightmare in the lounge
