We are at Wednesday again, and what a week it has been. Alongside personal stuff going on thanks to my Stepsons. I have so much to tell you. So time for my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 24/07/2024.

Health
I had my blood tests last week, unfortunately it was the morning of that huge IT outage and my surgery were working blind. They asked if I knew what blood tests I was having and I did not have a clue. I did say I was back on Tuesday and could have them then. They decided to do the normal ones plus a couple of inflammatory tests.
I had my diabetic check yesterday, all was ok and my sugar level has dropped by 1 which is good as it had not gone higher. It also means I can carry on with diet control and no medication. The nurse did check my results that were through, most were ok, but about 3 needed to be discuss with my GP.
My conversation with my GP
I managed to get a telephone appointment yesterday morning. I spoke to a Dr who is lovely, but not understanding of exactly how I am feeling. She told me my D3 was low but not low enough for prescription. This is not a problem I can get D3 supplements. She then went on saying everything else was ok, when I said I was told there were 3 that needed discussing she said they are ok.
When I asked if there was anything she could do to help with the pain I am in, I was told just carry on as I am. The pain is getting is getting worse, and I just need to carry on as I am. I do have my urgent neurology appointment for January.
New Addition
I know some of you would have seen my posts on Instagram. For those who did not see them, we have a new addition. Let me introduce Louie, who is our only green and yellow bird. C put Pippy in with him, so this is the oldest and youngest together. Pippy was really nice with him, but Gizmo was missing her. So she put Beanie in with him, who sulked as not in the big cage.
Yesterday, she put Louie in the big cage with the others. He looked a bit shell shocked to start with, but soon found his feet. He is such a cutie, and always on the go. He does hop onto our hands so not scared of us. This is definitely it now. That is 3 boys and 3 girls.

Choco Cakes
A perfect sweet treat for the kids and us parents are these tasty Choco Cakes. Each box contains 6 individual cakes, that are made with cage free eggs, French wheat and contain no palm oil or artificial preservatives. I got a phone call from one of the better GP’s yesterday and it definitely is changing, I will update next week. Louie is a cutie
So pleased the budgies are getting along but so disappointed to hear about your doctor’s telephone consultation. An ‘urgent’ neurology appointment for January? Also disappointing. I hope somebody, somewhere in the NHS is able to help you before then.
Louie has definitely settled in, it is quite sweet seeing him with all the others. I do have an update on my health after another phone call from one of the best dr’s in my surgery yesterday. I am not surprised about the urgent neurology appointment being for January as I do know that department through my daughter and that is an urgent appointment sadly

The birds are cuties, the darker blue one is the oldest and she loves me and always wanting me to give her a fuss. The choco cakes are great and the bottle really does keep the drinks cool
Those Choco cakes look incredible! As if the stunning accents, beautiful landscapes and scenery werent enough, Pippy and Louie are absolutely adorable.
The chocco cakes are amazing very moreish though. They are little cuties, Pippy is the eldest we have and she always come running to me for fuss
Louie is so sweet! How cute to see the fam growing…it’s addicting once you get one you just keep adding to it! Haha but it’s a nice way to keep busy and a fun distraction. Sounds like all in all a good week with some better news.

Your birds are so cute! I used to have two budgies, one green and one blue. I love the sound of those choco cakes, need to try them.
We now have 6 and literally just told C that is it, when she said her friend now has 18. They are all cuties and Louie seems to be settling in great. The choco cakes are tasty and very moreish

Sorry you are not having much luck with the doctors it really sounds like you need something to help with the worsening pain! I love your new addition, budgies are so cute, my brother used to have a green and yellow one!
I have just spoken to one of the better Drs who was amazing. My medications are changing and I got different results to my blood tests that I was given on Tuesday. I have a ton of medications to pick up later today which will hopefully show me an improvement and more blood tests in 3 months to check everything. Louie is a cutie and fitted in well

Oh, man. I relate with the chronic pain. I have chronic fatigue and pain from long COVID, and my doctors have told me there’s nothing to do but wait and hope. I hope you get better answers!
My daughter suffers with ME – which is CFS so I do understand your pain and what you are going through. Long COVID present the same as ME if you ever want to reach out and discuss things I can tell you all we have done to try and make it easier to live with

Louie has settled in even Winnie who is the baby but big like her Mum is being friendly to him. I have spoken to my Dr today one of the best Drs in my surgery. I am just about to pick up a ton of medication
I definitely need to get blood work, I’ve been postponing it forever. I will do it next week, thanks a lot for being a huge inspiration.
I always put it off and no idea why as it is over in seconds and it does give you peace of mind once you get the results
