Protecting Ourselves Through The Winter Months

There is no denying that the colder weather is here, throughout the winter months, it is important to protect ourselves from catching colds or any other respiratory illness. The most common way to do this is by using face masks.

 

How to keep ourselves protected

1 – Face Masks

Face masks are a good way of protecting ourselves during winter because they can filter out viruses and bacteria in the air. They are especially useful for people who are susceptible to colds or other respiratory illnesses.

2 – Hand Sanitiser

It’s winter and we’re all looking for ways to protect ourselves from the harsh cold. We all know how important it is to stay warm and healthy in the winter, so here are some tips on how you can use hand sanitiser.

1) Keep it next to your bed: Hand sanitiser is a must-have when it comes to keeping your hands clean. It’s not uncommon for people to take their hands out of coat pockets or gloves without washing them after they come in from the outside. So next time you go to bed, make sure you have a hand sanitiser close by so you can get up and use it if needed.

2) Spray before eating: It’s always best not to eat with dirty hands, but sometimes that isn’t possible when food

3) Use it throughout the day, when out and about and you have been touching surfaces

3- Social Distancing

One thing we all had told to us and reminded everywhere we went last year, was social distancing.  It seems that this has become forgotten for no reason.  Try to be respectful of those around you and social distance.

4 – Vaccination

We should all have had our vaccinations by now, with boosters now rolling out.  I have mine booked for this Sunday.

    I’m still wearing masks if it is busy and in shops and restaurants. I think simple things like that can help protect you going into winter

      As much as I hate masks I do wear mine more as well

    I have had my flu jab and my covid booster is booked for Monday. I must admit I haven;t been wearing my mask all the time, but do when I am in a busy area and I always have hand sanitiser these days too

    I’m waiting for my booster jab at the moment and I’ve had the flu jab. Ive also started taking vitamins and omega 3 oils

      I have mine on Sunday thankfully, I am taking vitamins as well
