TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?

I am Rebecca and I blog over at I Always Believe In Future

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?

I started blogging in January 2011, simply because a couple of my friends started. Most of them have stopped now, some for many years, but I carried on as I’ve always loved writing. I fell pregnant with my son in February 2011 so my blog’s name took on new meaning from then on.

HAS YOUR BLOG CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?

It used to be beauty focused and has now become much more parenting and lifestyle focused.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FUNNIEST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?

There have been so many, especially at blog events. I’m lucky to have a core group of girls who live near me and our time together is hilarious.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR WORST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?

I don’t know – nothing blogging wise. But I’ve had a few horrible personal issues since starting.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW BLOGGER STARTING OUT?

Don’t come into it thinking you’ll make money easily – you won’t! That isn’t to say you won’t eventually make money from it but you have to put effort in. Write because you want to.

WHAT SURPRISED YOU ABOUT BLOGGING THAT YOU DID NOT REALISE BEFORE YOU STARTED?

That you can make money from it, I had no clue when I first started!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?

Read and see family and friends.

IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY WHAT WOULD YOU DO FIRST?

Pay off debt and buy a house…oops that’s two things!

WHO IS YOUR BLOGGING HERO AND WHY?

I’d have to say Sarah from Life In A Break Down. Not many people know this but she was one of the first bloggers whose blogs I read and I wished I could get to know her better. She’s one of my closest friends now and she’s my hero because of the amount of stuff she does for the blogging community for free and how much she cares about others – and how she still continually puts out quality content despite suffering from certain ailments.

Such an interesting read. I agree it is not easy to make money with a blog. You have to work really hard to get paid enough to sustain yourself.

It’s so true that the money doesn’t just roll in at first. It can be hard to monetize but you can definitely make it work.

It does take a lot of hard work which a lot of people don’t understand. But you get out what you put into it x
