Life After Lockdown Linky – Week 82

Here we are in week 82 of Life After Lockdown.  From the beginning of lockdown I have been taking part in a linky where we answer questions of how the past week has been.  Originally in lockdown, and now after lockdown.

How has your week been? Read on to see how my week has been.

For those wanting to take part the questions are

1. How are you feeling/coping?
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?
5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7. What has made you smile this week?
8. Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

If I had written this yesterday, I would have said I was angry and fed up.  But, yesterday evening C sent me a message saying she had heard something, which meant she had an email regarding her course.  I told her to send me through the email, and saw I had one as well.

She is on the course, finally after two years of fighting, she is getting her education.  It should be manageable with her illness as half day afternoon start on Tuesday, full days Wednesday and Thursday, Friday morning online from home. Now I am panicking on what she needs, any help with this would be great.

We have also been suffering the cold bug that is going around, my husband came down with it first, who passed it to me, and I seem to have passed it to poor C, who is suffering.

 2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?

Apart from chasing C’s education, and sorting various birthdays next month, not a lot as we have all been ill.  I did have a follow up appointment for me last week, and have biopsies arranged for December.

3) What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?

Life can change so quickly, and we went from living with no restrictions to becoming aware of those around us and our surroundings.  Use hand sanitiser, wear masks be aware of your own health as well.

4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?

Always carry a mask and hand sanitiser, use the hand sanitiser more than you would usually think too.  Also give others space and just be respectful. Numbers are going up and it is not over

5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

Its not a blog post, by the lovely Melanie from Melanies Fab Finds, has been driving me mad on Facebook, sharing so many lovely cake and dessert recipes.  There now seems a bit of a to and fro with this, as I am now sharing with her as well.

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Definitely, the email regarding C’s course placement

7) What has made you smile this week?

My kids they all have totally different personalities, but they know how to wind Mum up

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Stop panic buying, yes shelves will be empty if you keep panic buying.  But carry on as normal and the shelves won’t be empty.

Ha, I was not expecting to see myself mentioned in there, that’s brilliant. The recipes are really good though, aren’t they! Seriously, I’d be a balloon within a few weeks if I tried them all.
I’m so happy for C. That’s amazing news and a great relief for you. I shall be looking out for more recipes to share so brace yourself x

Haha honestly everytime I see me tagged in a post or scroll through I know either you have shared it, or as Facebook does teases you and I have to share to you, I haven’t tried any yet as going away mid November so in true me style yesterday decided I need to diet haha. We are over the moon about C getting on the course. Bring on the recipes x

I am so glad that you have finally had news about C’s education after all this time! I can only begin to imagine how frustrating it has been recently.

Hybrid working becoming a thing is great, it’s a nice balance. Even my boss has had his whole outlook changed on work and working hours and is much more relaxed with everyone
