We have made it through another week and the weekend is just a few hours away, with many looking forward to a week of school holidays. As you will know by now, Friday is my weekly post where I share how the past week has been for us.
You will all know the ongoing saga we are having with obtaining education for C. Three weeks ago she had her interview for the course she wants to do. This is an ideal course for her as it is a three day a week course, just down the road and will let her get her GCSE’s which she was failed with working on, plus help in her career and future. We were told that we should hear within 2 weeks, and to chase if we heard nothing.
Last Wednesday and Friday, I emailed asking if there was any news. I had a reply my email had been passed to their Manager for consideration. On Monday I emailed the Manager as had previously had correspondence with him, still no response. C goes to meetings with a Mentor weekly, and I have been asking if she had heard or if she could chase. I was told our SEN Co ordinator could help. I never knew we had one, so googled and emailed the team to ask if we had one. We did and we have met her, so I emailed her with no reply, but our mentor said she was seeing her yesterday and would pass on the email.
I have received an email apologising and that she has chased, I am still waiting to hear. We were told the course would be starting on 2nd November. We need to know, this is affecting C with not knowing, thinking she is being let down and ignored again. I will be chasing again today.
Coughs and Colds
The cough and cold season has hit the StressedMum household this week. Starting with my husband who started the ball rolling last weekend, who very kindly passed it to me at the beginning of the week. Sadly as much as I tried to stay away from C, she is now suffering am keeping a close eye on her as with her illness it could affect her more.
What I have been loving
One thing we are trying to do is become more eco-friendly, and always looking at ways we can do this in our daily lives. Which is why I am loving Neersol. I was recently gifted a pack of their Glass Cleaning Tablets, which you dilute in a reusable spray bottle. Once my spray bottle I was using was finished I rinsed out and used the Neersol tablet.
I have been using for my shower screen and mirrors in the bathroom, I have not had the energy to go around the house cleaning windows, which is a job I hate doing anyway. I was impressed as I usually leave everything with streaks but these seemed to work well. I love that they come in a small box so really easy to store as well. Have you tried these yet?
You already know of my personal medical problems, the treatment is not really working and I am in constant pain which gets worse as the day goes on and very sore and raw. I had a follow up appointment yesterday, which as you know I have had to go private. As we are going on holiday mid November, I am carrying on with the treatment (not sure why) and when I get back I need to make an appointment for biopsies. These sound a lot worse than previous biopsies I have as will need stitches in each and 4-5 weeks recovery.
How has your week been?
