Life After Lockdown Linky – Week 75

It is Tuesday again and time for my weekly linky post Life After Lockdown, where each week I answer a set of question and share how the past week has been.  We are now in week 75 since life changed for us all.  So here is my week has been.

For those wanting to take part the questions are

1. How are you feeling/coping?
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?
5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7. What has made you smile this week?
8. Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

About the same as I was last week. We are a little further forward with C’s education now, and have a possible date in sight.  I was sending a lot of emails last week, and waiting on an assessment to come through regarding the course she wants to go on which is hopefully starting on the 28th.  Apart from that we still do not know if she is definitely starting it or not.

Everything is getting to me and just need something to get sorted so I can stop stressing so much

 2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?

My health and pain is getting worse, we had C’s follow up appointment regarding her jaw, with the private Consultant.  She is a lot better and has been doing the exercises he set which have shown.  Got to go back in 3 months for another follow up.

While we were booking the next appointment, I asked if they had a Gynaecologist there, as no idea how long I will have to wait for the one my GP is organising.  They had an appointment for the following morning, so on Saturday I headed back to the hospital and saw a lovely Dr who listened and examined me.  She agreed with my previous diagnosis 2 years ago.

I have been given new medication to use for 3 months, as it is a private prescription I had to pay £65 I nearly died but will try anything.  I have to go back in 6 weeks to discuss if the treatment is helping and may have 2 biopsies taken which can be done under local or general and stitches.

We also saw friends on Saturday which was lovely and enjoyed a meal out and drinks, just what I needed.

3) What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?

Be respectful to others, and always carry a mask and hand sanitiser with you

4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?

Be aware of your surroundings and those around you, carry a mask even if you do not wear one all the time, and make hand sanitiser your new best friend.

5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I have been trying to keep up with things going on at home, I can not remember

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Pain medication and my appointment

7) What has made you smile this week?

C she has a wicked sense of humour usually aimed at me

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Nothing at the moment

Thank you to

I agree, I have it in the cars, by the front door, in my handbag and even one attached to the outside of my handbag. It is a natural thing for me to use now. I dont think it is over yet either

I’m so pleased to hear C’s jaw is getting better. Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer until she is back to normal. Hope she can eat a wider range of foods now x

It was such great news, we should not have to go private but so glad we did as the consultant is lovely. She still has to have a soft diet but is managing different foods now which is great.
